About this ebook

Opposition came from within my own friends, who disbelieve my experience. Faced with humiliating insults, and knowing the pain this would cause to most people, my faith in God was never in question. Instead, it opened my eyes to a lot of lying and distortion of the truth, and I needed to expose it for what it is to let people know they might be deceived by false preaching.

In God's Blessing in my Life, Kresten Aagesen discusses faith in our creator and never giving up when confronted by people who want to tear you down.

You will read of miracles and supernatural events, visions, near death and death experiences, paranormal occurrences, betrayal, lies, and more, all to reveal how God used Kresten to change thousands of people's lives. Never told to anyone before, these experiences lead to something much greater than any of us can be.

My journey can sound unbelievable, but when we leave it in God's hands we are secured against any walls put up against us.

Follow Kresten as he tells his story in God's Blessing in my Life, sharing his message that your life can change no matter what circumstances you find yourself in-be it prison or otherwise. Live a life full of joy with a pure heart towards people around you and see the change in your life as you live in God's faith and stay true to yourself.

An Amazing Journey - Kresten Aagesen

    Chapter 1

    A Book for All

    Life-changing Power

If you are an unbeliever, it is my hope that, by reading this book, a transformation will happen, and God will change your heart because you are important to Him. He created you for a special purpose, and what happened to me could happen to you. So, I say no matter where you are at this moment in life, it is never too late to feel God’s love for you. Never give up.

This is not just a book, but a book of fact. Everything in this book has happened to me, and there has been no attempt to make it look better than it is, or to build on something that never happened. I have tried to stay true to the period when most of these events took place: from 2007 to 2017. Nothing will stop me from letting people know of this incredible, true-life event and God’s presence in my life.

I am aware that many readers may not believe what is written in this book, and I can understand this very well. Many texts in bookshops are full of lies and other deceptions from people claiming all sorts of outlandish experiences and encounters with God, even claiming to have been to Heaven. What does it take to read and understand God’s Word? All I can say is that they have an awful lot of explaining to do on Judgement Day when they will be told by God, ‘I never knew you.’ How many more people are we going to see proclaiming these ridiculous fabrications only to discover that they had lied all along to make money and a name for themselves? False preachers and storytellers are just that—doing their best to mislead the public into believing that their view is right.

The first thing I suggest you do when you are looking into a new book is to research the background and history of the writer on the internet and through their publisher, if possible. It might surprise you who they are, where they come from, and the people they associate with. The number of books on the market will swamp you, so check in the bookshop before buying.

A question anyone should ask is, ‘Why are there so many different Bibles? Are they truly God’s Word or a false copy of the true Bible?’ I myself use the New International Version and The NIV Study Bible, but I also highly recommend any Bible closely related to the old or New King James Bible. There are also a few other Bibles on the market. I’d like to mention the message written by a truly false teacher; this is a book only and should be treated like trash, never to be associated with the Bible. Instead, it is a book of blasphemy that many pastors seem to use. Why? It is easier for the congregation to understand, they say—hogwash. Shame on them. There are quite a few more I could mention, so please be careful when you buy one for yourself or as a gift to others—you might just be leading them astray and into New Age versions, which are totally unbiblical and false presentations. More information can be found on the internet, but please use your discernment. It is Satan’s work to create confusion.

I wouldn’t blame people for being sceptical of my book. I am the biggest sceptic after what I have seen being with the Church for over forty years in Australia and after having shared my time with many home groups, who have used study material from false teachers and unchristian Bibles—books, that can only be described as utter garbage and bad pests. They seem to spread with no warnings against such material from most pastors. I have seen people calling themselves Christian but sitting on the fence due to confusion from the different Bibles and materials and have since left the Church. I suggest to pastors, that we are listening, and many of us know the written word from the Bible. This also includes New Age as well as evolution, which seems to creep in under the radar to explain Christian beliefs. Really! Our pastors need to take a more active role as leaders to debate and explain using the discernment given to us through the Holy Spirit so there is no misunderstanding of the importance of the true Word of God, which seems to be compromised an awful lot.

The Holy Spirit is quite a subject if we want to fully understand it. In short, we all have the Holy Spirit given to us at birth. It is to be respected as God’s temple until he calls us home, and it is not to be desecrated in any way. I know that this is a tall order since we are all sinners—I will try to explain this at the end of the book because there is way more to it.

How God works in and through us with His Holy Spirit can be a bit harder to explain. ‘Why me?’ we ask. ‘How did it happen?’ My best guess, and the easiest explanation, would be that He knew you and me before we were born. Then why pick a person He knew would be a sinner? Well, we are all sinners—some more than others—but we who believe and have faith and repent will have everlasting life. How great is it that we all have that chance, and it is never too late to come to Christ Jesus?

The making of this book has taken 12–14 years, on and off, and it took me the first few years to realise what was happening. But the awesome truth gives you a boldness you have never known, and the question ‘What is next?’ is not something you go looking for. It is an event, and the Holy Spirit knows when you are ready. God can see if your heart is in line with His and if you are circumcised, which is a symbol of ‘cutting off’ a life of sin, purifying one’s heart to do God’s work—and His work will be done’. So, as you can see, you might have to wait 6–12 months or more before something happens, but never try anything in your own strength—that is, leaving God out, so be careful not to go there.

I never thought I would ever be writing a book; that was the last thing on my mind. But too many things have happened to me not to let this part of my life be shared with other people. I share this in the hopes it will bring those who may have left the Church because of a bad experience, to come back to the Church again, or new people who are searching for God will come, too. Never give up; there is always hope. Believe me, you will never walk alone; God’s Holy Spirit will always be with you. If you are not one for believing in something greater than yourself, don’t give up—this book might just change your life. I guarantee it will change how you look at life in a positive manner.

I’d like to mention a great Australian, Ken Ham, from Cairns, Queensland, where I live. He was an ex-schoolteacher from Brisbane who taught maths and science. In one of his books, he explains Genesis, creation versus evolution; this book makes great reading and gives even the most experienced Christian an understanding of why so many issues have crept into the beliefs about the true Word of God. The book is written in lay terms and is easy to understand. This great Australian can be found on the internet and is living in Kentucky, USA, where he has built Noah’s Ark in full scale. Watch the video on the internet. Click ‘Ken Ham Noah’s Ark’. Yes, there are many film clips to choose from. They may not be to everyone’s liking; that is your choice.

Australia lost a great man in Ken Ham. They could not see his vision here in Australia, but the conversion to Christianity had a great impact in the USA and more people have turned to Christ for salvation, with more than a million going through the Ark each year, when I last saw it a few years ago on the internet. Please look it up; it’s a great experience. This was despite many locals thinking it was a big joke and opposing such a project, yet since then, millions of people have gone through the Ark. As you watch the video, you will soon realise the power of God working through people like this great Australian.

My name Aquila and partner Priscilla. I hope you will enjoy reading this inspirational book about what God can do in your life. Faith, hope, and a heart full of compassion, will lead you to a life full of love and spark a life full of joy for others.

    Near-death Experiences

    1

All my life, God has been there for me. I could not have achieved the things I have in my lifetime without him. He has always been there for me, listening to my prayers. Looking back at my early life, things have never been normal. For instance, my academic education in Denmark, and avoiding a car collision, at the last second. Other occasions are outlined below.

Flying to Spain was an experience no-one would want. It was late at night, probably 10–11 pm, when I looked out the window as we flew over Paris, France—I then flagged the flight attendant to let her know that the engine was on fire. The attendants closed all the window shutters, and because most of the passengers were sleeping, she asked me to be quiet. By this time, the pilot would have known what was going on, but, for some reason, I let my parents sleep, and I was very calm because I knew God would get us down safely. Still looking out the window, only a few metres away, the glow was now a big ball of flames extending 20–30 metres from the plane. To me, this could not last long before the wing fell off. The side of the plane I was sitting on was shielded away from public view. It was only later that night, when we finally landed and were escorted away under police guard and in front of hundreds of photographers, that we realised how close we had been to a disaster. We learned that we were being observed right across Europe because the plane stood out against the night sky. No-one wanted to facilitate a crash in their country because they were not prepared for such. The island of Majorca, off the Spanish coast in the Mediterranean, was our destination, circa 1964.

Australia. Being caught in a buffalo stampede, at night, doing my thing before bed in the bush was a big mistake. I heard the noise but was unsure what it was until the last second. I stood behind a stick to look like a tree; these beasts weighed anything from 800 to 1,000 kg. I still don’t know how I missed the horns and the noise from breathing in my face, their hides practically touching me, and their strong smell. All I could think of were my feet: had they trodden on them, I would have stumbled, and I would have been history. Yes, to say that I was shaking like a leaf afterwards, would be an understatement.

Only God’s protection saved me. This happened in Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory, in early February 1971. No-one would ever want to be in this situation. Ever. Very frightening.

Using my neck to lift a heavy load saw me nearly paralysed and in extreme pain. I was flown from Cairns to Townsville Hospital for immediate neurosurgery in 1987. The doctors performed a bone graft. I had a broken neck (vertebrae L4 and L5). Very unpleasant. Paid the price for being stupid, and it took at least twelve months to recover. During the operation, I woke up, remembering only that it was my last breath before dying, and then everything went black. The next thing I knew, I had an out-of-body experience, looking down on myself very peacefully, observing red and blue flashing lights and alarms going on and off, nurses and doctors running around. Very weird, as I could not move my arms. Very peaceful. When I woke up and was back in my room, doctors, anaesthetists, and nurses were all looking at me to ask how I felt. There must have been at least ten of them. I only said, ‘I died while under—what happened?’

No response from the doctors other than, ‘You will get better soon’, and then they all left the room, except for one nurse who stayed with me in the room, sitting in a chair next to my bed to keep me under observation for two days. I still give thanks to God for giving the doctors the skill to save my life.

In July 1977/1990 and 1994/1997, I was working for North Queensland Engineers & Agents (NQEA) building Navy patrol boats and many other ships. These included luxury cruising yachts for the rich, research vessels, hovercrafts, and wave piercers for the tourist industry—over 250, to my recollection—including many patrol boats for the Australian Navy and the Pacific Islands. I also saw and helped someone who was building the test chamber for the testing of air intake in the outer atmosphere (stratosphere) for use as fuel. Please look up NQEA Australia scramjet system on the internet—it is an early model made with aluminium, and with the air intake, it would still be a showpiece. This prototype was taken to Woomera, South Australia, for experimental testing, with NASA apparently taking a very keen interest. The test only lasted for approximately 2–3 seconds, but it was enough to validate it. This was also the place for the first atomic test by the Australian and United Kingdom governments.

My time here gave me a very real insight into the dangers that a lot of workplaces present if safety is not attended to—something that is covered
