NUMEROLOGY - Bryant Joseph
Chapter 1
Introduction to Numerology
Numerology has been employed before there was any written history. The mystics and wise men of this era were well aware of the strength that comes from numbers. From plants to stones to their bodies, they noticed the patterns that were present everywhere. Be mindful of the patterns in your life and the numbers that produce them as you read on.
Definition of Numbers
There are many ways and methods of using statistics to help you better understand and navigate your human experience. Many people utilize the patterns to guide important choices, such as investing or popping the question to a special someone. In this book, we will examine how numerology may be used in our daily lives and how it can deepen our spiritual ties to the environment, allowing us to communicate with the enigmatic divine. This theory puts forth the hypothesis that some numbers have connections to things that happen in our life. Ancient players of this practice game used traditional models that assigned numerical values to nearly every facet of existence, including names, words, animals, and people.
These ancient scholars concluded that there are only nine numbers in reality. These are the numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, in that order. Any additional number is simply a repetition of the initial nine, thus 10 is 1+0, which equals 1. The foundation of numerology can be found in the fact that adding any number's digits results in a single digit, which represents the real nature of that number. For example, 10 is a 1. Any given set of numbers can be added up to reveal a pattern of single digits. The single numbers are simply repeated in this sequence (10=1, 11=2, 12=3, etc.).
Calculation example:
The number 239 is a 5, since 2+3+9=14 and 1+4=5.
This math is relatively straightforward, yet it also produces astonishing patterns. The sum of the digits determines the primary influencing number, which captures the essence of the bigger number, for numbers with more than one digit.
Numerous newcomers have queries regarding the number zero. The number zero has no meaning in numerology. Many ancient cultures did not understand the notion of zero because it
Zero remains zero when determining numerological values.
Learn the straightforward equations above by heart and expect to apply them in the future to determine someone or something's numerology.
The Origins of Numerology
In English, the term numerology
has only been in use since 1907. Though it wasn't always utilized to communicate with the deity, numerology had a major rise in popularity throughout the Victorian era. Many people in that period found it amusing and intriguing that a single digit could reveal so much about a person's personality. Numerology was used for centuries before Victoria, except in the relatively recent history of England.
There is no doubt that numerology or other related disciplines were utilized by our ancestors for many centuries before modern times, but trying to pinpoint its specific origins is futile. It is plausible to assume that numerology existed long before the written word or our earliest found artifacts from extinct societies.
Within the realm of astrology, numerology was at the very least applied to spiritual practice. The Chaldean method, which was used in ancient Babylon, contains our earliest documentation of the practice. Numerology was used for spiritual purposes by other ancient civilizations, including Egypt and Eastern Asian nations, according to historical records.
It is difficult to say how extensively these civilizations used numerology in their routine spiritual practices; possibly they did not distinguish between the numerical values of the material world and those of the spiritual realms.
No matter how widespread the practice, they undoubtedly used numbers to discover a method to communicate with the holy.
Today's numerological techniques are thought to be entirely derived from Pythagoras' writings. The great contributions of the Greek philosopher to mathematics and numbers continue to have an impact on modern-day academic standards. Pythagoras believed that every part of our lives, including every connection and interaction, was influenced by numbers.
He believed that thinking about numbers and mathematics was essential for building a solid intellect and recognizing the intricate connections among all things in the cosmos.
As the timeline advances, we witness the Christian church denouncing numerology as well as other esoteric disciplines like tarot and astrology. Technically referred to as magic,
these potent arts were referred to as bad acts. Numerology gradually fell out of favor as a result of the prohibition on magical arts, which drove many practitioners to do their work in secret.
Numerology enjoyed its fifteen minutes of fame as a fad as the Victorian age drew near when Victorians played a parlor game of calculating one other's numerological value. Numerology flourished with Theosophy and ceremonial magic groups like the Golden Dawn as other spiritual models quickly accompanied this renaissance. Aleister Crowley's ideas brought magic back into the public eye, ushering in the 20th century, and magic itself gained widespread acceptance in the western world.
Alternative beliefs and lifestyles were being practiced throughout Europe and America as the counterculture of the 1960s and 1970s flourished.
Tarot, numerology, and astrology all rose to popularity as disciplines to investigate, but they all eventually fell out of favor and were relegated for a few decades to small, specialized communities.
Today, we observe yet another rebirth of contemporary occult practices. Exploring a variety of spiritual practices has never been simpler thanks to the internet. Magical connections are being formed faster than ever before because of the strategies and experiences that people share. Finding a group that fits practically anyone is simply because of the number of occult-related religions and world perspectives.
Numerological activities can be included in New Age, Neo-Pagan, Wiccan, and atheist belief systems and can help people comprehend the universe better.
No spiritual activity can be put to the test in a lab by science to see how numerological activities work. Although it tries, science cannot explain everything, despite how valuable it is. Remember that if you find a method that works for you, it must be effective. How and why don't matter, right? It doesn't matter why; we should accept it since it works. As you develop new ideas on the nature of reality as it truly is, have an open mind. Numbers have sway, and these forces have an everyday impact on our lives.
We can unlock one of the universe's many mysteries if we can learn to recognize them or even make use of them. The ultimate purpose of utilizing these methods is to improve our lives. Many people might only use a spiritual current as an example to get what they want, but this is not advised. There is no turning back once you start down this path because you have already bowed to these influences, and doing so now frequently has unfavorable effects.
Nowadays, it's common practice to calculate your numerology online and see what it has to say about your personality.
This innocuous practice is prevalent in modern culture. This is not an artistic practice, so stopping it won't have any adverse effects. This nebulous foray into the esoteric arts is comparable to how many people approach astrology—by simply discovering their sun sign and moving on. Since these procedures are far more intricate, it is advised that you steer clear of generalizations and sloppy approaches to these potent forces if you plan to pursue the craft seriously.
