This book while factual on the subject seemed unfinished and hurried. At the e d it says they have 3 more. I feel played and ripped off by a book that leaves you no choice but to go to the next. I will not be forced to spend money on a second when the first is lacking horribly.

Chapter 1: Roots, Origins & Benefits

Numbers are the Universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth.

~ St Augustine of Hippo

Basics of Numerology

Numerology is an ancient, yet modern significant system for self-development and growth. Like astrology, the study of the stars, planets & celestial bodies in the sky; numerology takes into account important alignments at the time of your birth. Your life path number, for example, the main aspect of numerology, is determined from your birth date. One can use numerology to utilize the wisdom and the insights and messages for healing and self-discovery. To heal is to achieve wholeness, and this is exactly what numerology does. Those who understand how powerful numerology is equally recognize that their passions, desires, likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, beliefs, inner working and subconscious influences, fears, worries, and everything that shapes their chosen directions in life, can be discovered.

Numerology is a holistic, somewhat spiritual and interconnected system. It is often seen as esoteric due to its connection to divination (the divinatory arts), mysticism, spirituality and even astrology. We live in a multi-dimensional world with extrasensory perception and sight, and the human experience is subjective. Becoming aware of the power and meaning of numbers, therefore, can open doorways to self-evolution. Numerology is a very grounded, balancing and aligning/harmonizing (to the Higher Self & Mind) system and approach to learning about yourself.

Numerology can be utilized to change your life for the better. Some people use it for self and personal development, whereas others use it for love and intimate or romantic relationships. Numerology can be used to attract love on a real, sincere and authentic level; to find the one or your ideal partner, lover and soulmate. The ancient system of Numerology is essentially a belief in the divine or mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events, feelings and areas or themes of self-development. In addition to it being the synchronicity(s) of a divine and interconnected universe, it is also the application and active engagement in it. Once you start to realize that the stars, planets and cosmic energies influence us, you will also begin to recognize the patterns in your life relating to love, kindred spirits, and soulmate friendships and bonds.

For this reason alone, numerology is understood on the principle of synchronicity. Nothing in the universe is random; everything has a design and unified aspect. This doesn’t take away from personal choice and power or leave everything to fate. It does, however, allow for the realization that numbers are here to teach us about ourselves. We are always being given clues and signals for growth and self-evolution!

We are always being given clues and signals for growth and self-evolution.

So, numerology asks us to show up for ourselves. It suggests that we take control over our lives. Instead of floating or drifting through life as a passenger, we should become mindful and conscious- aware and in tune- with the natural forces & energies in play. Where we may have once been unaware and oblivious, almost with a shield and polluted third eye, we recognize the signs, symbols and synchronicity being made aware.

Why mention the third eye here? Well, the third eye (chakra/energy portal) is the seat of vision. It relates to the higher self, the higher mind, and to our ability to perceive subtle and spiritual energy. It also connects us to our subconscious mind- the place where universal archetypes & symbols are rich. Mother Earth is a living and conscious entity. The cosmos and the universe are also interconnected and conscious; consciousness is infinite and eternal; it spills out to the farthest galaxy and within to the tiniest atom. It is within and without and as above so below simultaneously. Being attuned to the recurring numbers in your life greatly assists in understanding, acknowledging and integrating key themes showing up. The effects can be so powerful and profound.

The universe is always sending us signs and messages for those with eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts to feel and intuition to sense, so why not go a step further and learn numerology?

To study numerology is to study the numerical value in letters, words, names, ideas and concepts. This essentially means at birth, your soul; the eternal and non-physical part of you- is given a name. This name has an energetic and symbolic meaning. Numerology is a slight form of divination, which means that numerologists (and those who believe in numerology) are aware of the signs and destiny of the physical universe. This essentially means that everything is destined; pre-determined with a natural flow of events & experiences. Everything, life, ourselves and the universe have natural cycles.

Types of Numerology

There are multiple branches or types of numerology. The main system most people know, and which is further explored in this book; is Pythagorean numerology. It’s good to be aware of the other systems (types), however. Let’s look at these quickly.

Chinese numerology

This is becoming more popular; however, it has always been around (since ancient China). Chinese numerology is largely associated around the concept of ‘luck.’ The Chinese have always been big believers in the power of luck, and this is strongly tied into the recognition of natural universal cycles. Synchronicities and series of events determine how much luck one is to have, and at what times. Chinese numerology assigns meanings (energetic associations) to the numbers. Certain number combinations are luckier than others! This is the basis of this system of numerology. It’s interesting to note that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has specific uses & meanings of numbers. In acupuncture, acupressure, and meridian psychotherapy the human body is given numerical values, and these correspond to the natural universal cycles.

There are 12 vessels circulating the body, just as there are 12 months in a year and 12 Zodiac signs (astrology). More specifically and unique to Chinese philosophy, 12 is used to portray the 12 rivers flowing towards the Central Kingdom. Secondly, they refer to there being 365 parts of the body, one to each day of the year. (This is how they locate acupoints.)

Alphabetic systems

There are various systems that assign numerical values to the letters of the alphabet. These include: Abjad numerals in Arabic, Hebrew numerals, Greek numerals, and Armenian numerals. These are the most well-known! Gematria is another one; this is a Jewish approach of putting mystical meanings to specific words based on their numerical values.

Also, there are a number of Latin alphabet systems. Pythagorean numerology is the main one within the Latin bracket, however there’s also Chaldean, Hebraic, Phonetic, Japanese, Arabic and Indian.

Pythagorean system

Pythagoras lived from 569- 470 B.C. He was a Greek philosopher and mathematician and is known as the father of Western numerology. Pythagoras discovered that the vibrations in stringed instruments could be given numerical values and therefore explained in terms of maths & numbers. Thus, there was a natural synergy and relationship between numbers and musical notes. This system takes into account both full name and date of birth. Your full name is split into a number of different ‘types;’ which now in the modern day we recognize as Soul Urge, Expression/Destiny, and Personality, in addition to the main Life Path. Generally speaking, the name to use is one’s full name on your birth certificate.

Each letter is equated with a number 1- 9.

● 1 = A, J, S

● 2 = B, K, T

● 3 = C, L, U

● 4 = D, M, V

● 5 = E, N, W

● 6 = F, O, X

● 7 = G, P, Y

● 8 = H, Q, Z

● 9 = I, R

Chaldean (Babylonian) System

Chaldeans were ancient people who ruled Babylonia, from 625- 539 BC. The Chaldean or Babylonian system of numerology describes the subtle energy currents and changes that occur during speech and thinking. Sounds come out at different vibrations when we speak, as do thoughts when we think. These frequencies of thought and speech are assigned numbers, to portray what is occurring. This system used numbers 1- 8 only. Number 9 isn’t used due to 8 being seen as the number of infinity (a ‘universal truth’ recognized by many practices, spiritual and numerology systems). The coding stops at 8, therefore; the number of infinite wisdom and timelessness.

Master numbers, numbers 11, 22 and 33 (we explore this later) as recognized in the Pythagorean system, are acknowledged here too. Differences? In Chaldean system one’s first name is their social persona; how one presents themself to the public and others. It also encompasses personal interests, passions and habitual routines. One’s middle name refers to their soul energy- the core truth about their inner soul and deepest yearnings. Middle name also portrays hidden gifts & abilities, talents and soulful desires. Your last name depicts family and domestic influences, likes, strengths and passions rooted in physical reality and tradition, culture, background and heritage.

Advanced Chaldean numerology

Furthermore, Chaldean or Babylonian numerology has an advanced system. This involves the Highest Self, Higher Self, and Human Self and these three terms are all part of the numeroscope. The ‘highest self’ is a calculation of one’s full birthdate; the ‘human self’ is a unique formula calculated from a number of combinations between one’s birth date and full legal/birth certificate name. One’s ‘higher self’ is known and seen as a gateway between the soul, or- more specifically- will of the soul, and the human self and earthly experience. It’s interesting as many modern and ancient spiritual & metaphysical systems recognize the higher self. It is often called the higher mind as well, and the higher self/mind is seen as a cord or portal connecting lower human attributes to a higher consciousness. Call this cosmic consciousness, the divine or a sense of enlightenment (spiritual awareness); the higher self has always been recognized and spoken of. It is one of the main benefits of numerology, Pythagorean numerology explored in this book; numerology helps to connect us to our higher selves, true self (inner soul) and highest potential.

Being aware of advanced Chaldean numerology (the numeroscope) has some advantages. It is used to predict the future, connecting one to the past, present and future. Just like predictive astrology, this advanced type of numerology goes a step further than modern and traditional systems and takes into account the whole self. Time is multidimensional; life is a multi-dimensional experience. We’re not solely living in a 3-dimensional or linear reality. Both numerology & astrology are aware of the power of celestial transits & natural cycles.

History, Spiritual Roots & Origins

The awareness of the power of numbers has been understood for some time. Pythagoras, a famous Greek philosopher, advocated that mathematical concepts were more practical and easier to classify than physical ones, and therefore have greater actuality. Numerology has been recorded in religions and spiritual practices throughout mankind’s journey; significant church members have put forward beliefs about everything having numerical relationships (see the starting quote!), and that it’s up to us to seek and investigate the mysteries of them. Divine grace is closely tied into numerology. Divine grace expresses how everything is interconnected, how there is a mystical and spiritual relationship between all conscious entities. The universe itself holds a subtle & spiritual energy, and we humans are part of the great mystery and oneness of this spiritual universe. In short, Numerology as a system for self-healing and personal development takes note of the synchronicities & patterns found in the physical universe (numbers, signs, subconscious or subtle messages…).

In 325 AD numerology was still considered as an unapproved belief, classified alongside astrology and labelled as a form of ‘magic.’ Christianity had not yet accepted it. However, despite this form of religious purging sacred numbers were still well-known and integrated into acceptance. We can’t determine whether it was this acceptance of sacred numbers by such a respected and established authority (Christianity/the Church) that has allowed for a progression, and evolution, of the importance & power of sacred numbers, and the signs contained; but, it is safe to say that numerology has always been a part of our history.

In the Story of Creation, it is suggested that God created the world in 7 days. Regardless of one’s interpretation of ‘God’ (a male-like astral entity in the Heavens, the Universe, the divine, Spirit, etc.) 7 is clearly held in high esteem. From a spiritual perspective, those who consider the significance of numbers in relation to spiritual awakening, or enlightenment, see 7 as the number of spiritual illumination. Someone with a 7 personality is someone who is spiritually aware and insightful, introspective, and open to the mysteries of the universe. They seek the deeper meaning in things. Further, it is no wonder that we have 7 days in a week or use numbers in everyday life; from counting the numbers to our birthdays or measuring essential cycles. 3 is another prominent number- in Christianity it is associated with the Holy Trinity, and in spiritual circles it’s referred to as the number of creativity, the imagination and artistic self-expression.

Numerology Benefits

The wonderful thing about this powerful and ancient system is that there are so many uses & applications. Regardless of whether you wish to find out about love, relationships, work and service, career, your personality, strengths and core desires & motivations, numerology provides key insights into virtually every aspect of life and self.

Below are the main aspects and benefits of numerology.

Love and Romantic relationships

Your love life can be learned about and even determined through numerology. Numerology works on the basis of synchronicities. This has been mentioned a few times now…. But what does it really mean? Synchronicity in numerology is referring to simultaneous events or messages (signs, cues) which show great significance, yet have no apparent logical or discernable connection. Synchronicity relies heavily on the understanding of mysticism, and of subtle energy. Not everything can be explained by a rational or analytical, science-based mind. Some things in life are unexplainable, intuitive and spiritual. A causal connection is often required for us to ‘make sense’ of events & situations; but numerology looks at the deeper messages and meanings at play. Not everything is as it meets the eye… Numerology allows one to see through the veil and get below the surface.

In terms of love and romantic bonds, sexuality and intimate partnerships, this means that subtle clues and messages can be seen around us for guidance. Simultaneously, meanings and themes associated with our name and birth date can be looked at for insight. Numerology goes ‘within’ and ‘without’- internal and external. Our date of births and names at birth are one piece of the puzzle. Numbers shown in physical reality allow us to receive wisdom from the subtle-energetic universe; in other words, knowledge and divine inspiration and guidance is all around us. Key themes in love and partnership including our romantic desires, and sexual needs and urges open new pathways to learning and self-growth. Wonderful transformation can come about through numerological wisdom.

Perhaps recurring situations have been on repeat for far too long? Or, maybe you can’t seem to transcend karmic or toxic love patterns & plays? Whether you believe in soulmate connections and true love, or prefer flights of fancy and short love affairs can be discovered through numerology. Your passions, hidden needs and desires, and beliefs around sex, love, intimacy and connection have a light shone on them.

Career, Profession, and Service

The main number used for self-evolution and self-development is your life path number. Becoming familiar with numerology allows you to become aware of your actual life path; your true north and sense of service. What are your gifts, talents, hidden strengths and soulful desires? Are you living up to your true power & potential? When and how did you/will you step into your true path, and embody your highest potential for career, work or service to others?

Numerology provides a clear and detailed focus for you. Your ‘life path,’ alongside your soul urge/heart’s desire, expression/destiny, and personality give concrete wisdom and direction for significant life choices. They show you key themes, traits, characteristics and aspects to your life and self. Everyone has a unique frequency, a blueprint personal to them. The core numbers in numerology provide basically everything you need to make choices in alignment with your highest self (the best version of yourself). Your life path/purpose is your career- a service, a sense of fate or destiny and calling. It can arguably be seen as what you’re destined to do in this life, and this is what your life path number and meaning signifies too.

If you’ve experienced a lot of failures, or equally a lot of success in work and career; you can learn why. Further, you can learn how to turn things round or strengthen wins and victories. The beautiful thing with this ancient and powerful system is that personal strengths and innate gifts can be highlighted through the meanings associated with your birth name and date. Past cycles of failure don’t have to be repeated, in other words. Also, you may have been trying hard to establish yourself as an ‘A,’ ‘B,’ or ‘C’ (scientist, reiki specialist, nurse, teacher, therapist, IT specialist, politician, entrepreneur, lawyer, for example); yet the profession you thought was suited to you and perfect isn’t. You may be barking completely up the wrong tree or have natural (organic) talents and gifts, in addition to a destined sense of service, in a field or career completely opposite to yours. When we’re younger we often go for more ‘traditional’ routes and paths; doctor, lawyer, Government & Politics student, nurse, vet, etc. When we grow older, we realize there are so many other routes and pathways.

For example, in terms of Grace Gabriella’s desires & intentions when in her youth, Grace G. being the spiritual author and poet we study throughout this series, to develop and further our understanding of key esoteric systems (numerology, astrology); in her youth she wanted to be a Vet. Then, in her teens this changed to wishing to become an MP, or more specifically- the actual prime minister! It wasn’t until she had her mind expanded in college and later university years that she naturally gravitated towards more alternative pathways. She began volunteering on organic farms abroad and with the Environmental Conservation Volunteers in the UK. She then travelled solo through S.E. Asia for 6 months, before returning to the UK for soul alignment. It was here, once back in the UK and in her early twenties, where she was steered onto her true path.

Grace Gabriella P. enrolled on a number of holistic, complementary and alternative health & therapy studies. She had been having natural astral, multidimensional, dreams, and shamanic experiences in her youth leading up to this point. She’d also been channeling energy, as one does in Reiki and other chakra
