It is my desire that The Day, Month, and Year bring both an awareness and an understanding as to why things happen when they do, and why we do the things we do. Hopefully The Day, Month, and Year helps your understanding that there is more than just being your zodiac sign and that your date of birth is very important. I dedicate this to the seekers who feel that there is more to life and believe in this invisible energy, even if they don’t see it.

    INTRODUCTION

I am an astrologer and have been practising astrology for the last twenty-seven years. Over that time, I have observed the planets and the effects they have on us. Likewise, I connected to the numbers and their effects on us. From our house numbers to our personal years, the numbers have an influence. Everyone and everything is connected to the same source, power, or intelligence. Through both my study and observation, I believe there is a strong connection between astrology, numerology, and the quantum field.

Have you ever really thought about your date of birth? Our birth dates are so important and can tell us all about ourselves. We are creators who have picked circumstances and events in order to evolve into powerful beings. This book is about my life story. It shows the links between astrology and numerology, and how these links affect and shape our lives. We are born, and at that moment we are nothing but pure love. As we grow up, our parents, and even the generations of family before our parents, impose their thinking, fears, and attitudes upon us. These emotions and thoughts seem to cover us with a veil. We spend most of our lives trying to remove this veil. From the veil of inherited beliefs, we then choose through circumstances and events to find ourselves. Some of us get lost. We can lose ourselves in negativity and fear. Others find that light bulb moment, remembering who they really are. Through astrology and numerology we have chosen circumstances and events, and in doing so, we can attempt to remove these layers or veils. Through our understanding of challenges we can evolve. We can find our truth and can create a loving, joyous and a peaceful life.

Astrology is a map of the heavens. If we choose, we can learn all about this map, or we can go to astrologers and let them read the map for us. Astrology is a helpful tool in discovering who we are, why we decided to come here, and what we need to learn.

When I was younger, I was a scared, frightened little girl who was paralysed with fear. Through circumstances in my life that I chose, I eventually found myself! Today I am a strong and happy person. I live with inner peace, knowing who I am and what I am capable of. I can create my dreams!

This book is about the date, month, and year. To me, our dates of birth equal our lives. Everything in life is either born, or an event happens at a particular time. For example, we plan for holidays, ceremonies, and working commitments. When planning, the date and time is always involved; everything connects with the date, month, and year. At school, in history class we were required to learn dates and events in parrot fashion. What we didn’t learn was how important dates and time really are.

In this book, I will take you through my life events and illustrate the significance of the date, time, and year. Through my life experiences, I will link the astrological and numerological influences that shape our experiences. Indeed, it is the progression of life-changing events that led me to write this book.

    CHAPTER 1

    PLANETS AND NUMBERS GIVE MEANING

Time is more important than we think. Our time of birth can tell us so much about ourselves and what we are here to learn on this planet. So what is time? Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present and into the future. Time also is the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them. Time can be very important to some and not to others. Some people drive themselves into a frenzy by being punctual; others are always apologising for being late. Time is made up of numbers, and every number has its own meaning.

Everything has energy; all matter is made up of energy. Energy is a word with more than one meaning. Energy means that something has the ability to cause change. In physics, energy is a property of objects and is transferable between them via fundamental interactions, which can be converted in form but not created or destroyed. Common energy forms include the kinetic energy of a moving object, the radiant energy carried by light and other electromagnetic radiation, the potential energy stored by virtue of the position of an object in a force field (such as a gravitational, electric or magnetic field),¹ and the thermal energy comprising the microscopic kinetic and potential energies of the disordered motions of the particles making up matter. It is remarkable from my perspective because I have experienced the pure amazement of observing the incredible energy that interplays between the planets and us. Energy carries our thoughts.

Thoughts are our thinking minds. Dr. Joe Dispenza describes the neocortex as the thinking part of the brain.² Our thoughts are very important because they determine our moods. Our moods can range from being fearful, anxious, stressed, and jealous, to being content, peaceful, joyous, and happy. When we are stressed and anxious, and we stay in this state of stress and anxiety, we can’t seem to change our mind-sets. When we’re stuck in this state, we will find that we will encounter more situations that produce more stress and anxiety, because like attracts like. Therefore more stressful situations enter our lives and will continue doing so until we break the habit of our anxious thoughts. We can change our lives by changing our thoughts.

In astrology, the planet Mercury rules the mind and determines how we think. There are twelve zodiac signs, and so there are also twelve styles of thinking. For example, people who were born with Mercury in Capricorn have a very conservative way of thinking in comparison to people who were born with Mercury in Aquarius. Those persons with Mercury in Aquarius are very innovative and are forward thinkers. Thus, to know how you think astrologically helps to pinpoint your positive and negative traits. Astrologers may be quite helpful in ascertaining what affirmations an individual needs to say daily. This in turn helps one change from a negative mind-set to a positive one. Our thoughts produce feelings.

Our feelings, how we feel, affects our emotional energy. This is governed by the part of the brain called the limbic system. Our emotional energy is very significant, and how we feel has an enormous bearing on our reality. To feel good about ourselves is the key to an abundant life. To feel good and confident about ourselves helps us attract good into our lives. In astrology, the moon rules our emotions. The zodiac sign in which the moon resides on the day when you were born determines the way you react emotionally to people and events. There are some great astrological authors who have compiled useful information on personality traits from one’s moon sign. Sasha Fenton, who wrote Moon Signs, is one of my favourite authors and has depicted moon traits very accurately. Once again, there are twelve zodiac signs and twelve ways of expressing our emotions. Understanding astrology allows us to get in touch with our emotions and learn about ourselves. We can learn how we nurture, where we like to feel safe and secure, and where we seek comfort. Understanding our emotional traits will help us know ourselves better. When we understand ourselves better, we can start to understand others. This in turn will help us lead happier, peaceful, and abundant lives. Our feelings lead us to our responses, actions, and behaviours.

Thinking plus feeling equals behaviour. Where do our actions and behaviours stem from? Dr. Joe Dispenza, in Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, states that the part of the brain called the cerebellum is the seat of the subconscious. The cerebellum is responsible for our behaviour, which involves the automatic responses about which we don’t consciously think.

I believe that our astrological charts operate on the subconscious. As souls, prior to our birth, we choose our circumstances, our parents, which country we want to live in, and all the choices that are needed in order for our spiritual growth. We choose the time of our births. The natal chart, the astrological chart set by the time and place of our birth, is our blueprint for our life experience here on the planet. Our actions and behaviours are influenced by our thinking, our feelings, and our responses to vibrations from other planetary bodies. Apart from the planet Mercury and the moon, we have eight other planets—Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The planets in our solar system form our personality traits.

In astrology, our sun sign represents our identity. Mercury is how we think. Venus is how we love and what we value. The planet Mars rules our energy and is the planet of action, will, and courage. Jupiter is where we expand in life. Saturn represents our responsibilities, limitations, and self-discipline. The planet Chiron is where we experience our deepest hurts and our most beneficial healing. Uranus represents our urge to change, our individuality, and our uniqueness. Neptune represents our imagination, intuition, and ideals. Pluto represents our transformations and our obsessions. These are but a few of the traits represented by the planets. In addition to our genetics and planetary characteristics, there are so many other intricacies that formulate our personalities. To learn about ourselves as a whole, the road map of life (our natal chart) is beneficial to understand our personal characteristics and lives.

We can concentrate on our thinking and feeling nature to produce our very best actions and behaviours. We are here on earth to learn lessons in life. Being mindful of others and being aware of the relationships that transpire between ourselves and others, allows us to obtain inner peace and harmony on this planet. Our lessons are a learning experience. If we understand that by not reacting to the contrasts in our lives and handling these situations better, and by being more loving and understanding, we could create a better outcome of what we truly wish to experience. The various contrasts and challenges that are presented to us will lead us to a happier existence. We will then learn the secrets of who we really are, which was taken out of our former existence hundreds or more years previously due to that existence’s ego living in fear and asserting power and control over others. By not being angry, resentful, or upset with others, and by learning that we are all the same and we are here to learn our individual lessons, we can help ourselves grow spiritually. Then we have a chance to redirect our energies for the good of all, and we can live peacefully and lovingly on this planet.

Astrology and numerology are beneficial in helping us remain in touch with ourselves. Astrology and numerology help us understand ourselves and the pathways we are on. They give us insight into our personality and help us know what type of year we may experience, from beginning new ventures to ending situations. The meaning of our house numbers, as well as the meaning of our personal months and days, influence what types of energies we experience.

Yes, we are all connected. Every person, plant, animal, number, and planet is connected. Our thoughts and feelings are very important. We can create abundance, prosperity, good health, joy, and peace when we are thinking and feeling good. Alternatively, we can be afraid and anxious, and then we create more of what we are fearful of or anxious about. However, through the study of both astrology and numbers, I have observed that we can become one with our bodies and minds. That is, we can become completely selfless when our thoughts are aligning with our bodies, automatically creating our dreams. The dream or desire comes about when the planets are making certain aspects to other planets. An aspect is when planets are sitting a number of degrees apart from other planets. The dream or desire also comes about when the numbers are vibrating at the right frequency.

Let me explain in a little more detail. Astrology is a study of positions and aspects of planets that seem to have an observed effect upon humanity. Your date, time, and place of birth are all the information astrologers need to prepare a natal chart. My belief is before you were born, you chose your parents, siblings, circumstances, and situations in order to learn about yourself, for your own growth and evolution of your soul. One might say it is your blueprint of life. It is through this study that you become familiar with patterns and cycles. It is amazing when you look at a particular aspect or transit and witness the true manifestation of events suggested before your very eyes. For example, the planet Mercury rules vehicles, communication, travel, and learning, to name a few. In my natal chart, Mercury is in the sign of Aquarius. The sign of Aquarius rules the sudden and unexpected, changes, humanism, and altruism, among other things. The sun is also in Aquarius, which is my star sign. These two planets sit together in my chart. A natal chart is a chart depicting where the planets sat in the sky when you took your first breath. If we were to take a photo of the planets at the time you were born, that would demonstrate your natal chart.

But of course, the planets keep moving through the sky, and that is what astrologers call transits. This year in July, transiting Saturn (which rules limitations, restrictions, responsibility, and lessons learned) was sitting at sixteen degrees in the sign of Scorpio (which is passionate, powerful, and intense) in a retrograde motion (it appears to be going backwards). Saturn was squaring (planets sitting within ninety degrees of one another), making a challenging aspect. Now I am at the stage in my life where I meditate, try to think pleasant thoughts, and feel good. I am not there every minute of the day, but I am now very aware of my thoughts. My affirmation is Only good lies before me. For example, my husband’s car was parked in the street while he worked, and it had been hit by an elderly man who had lost control of his car. When my husband first told me, I felt a little annoyed. Then I thought, Don’t react. It is all good. Well, it was good: the car was repaired, and nobody was hurt.

What surprised me with this event was when I looked back in my chart thirty years ago, when transiting Saturn was sitting in the same position at sixteen degrees in Scorpio in a retrograde motion, my first husband was driving me and our two children along the highway. He looked alarmed, and I said, What’s wrong?

He replied, The motor has just seized! How incredible! In 1984 during this identical transit, my first husband had car damage, and thirty years later in 2014, under the same transit, my current husband also experienced car damage. This is an illustration of just one situation of many recurring themes that I’ve observed after over twenty-five years of studying astrology.

My belief is we can change our thoughts. I have experienced strong desires, and as a result of my feelings, it seems that I do obtain what I need. It is also apparent that these happenings seemed to coincide with an astrological transit. The challenging aspects in astrology can teach me not to react in a fearful or negative way, but to learn to accept the situation with more loving and positive thoughts. This will lead me to better decision making based on what I truly desire.

Numerology is the study of numbers and the vibrational energy the numbers expel. It covers the magnetic pull and influence numbers have on humanity. From my observation, the effect of numbers is connected and coincides with astrological transits and the quantum field. The quantum theory is electromagnetic fields involving particles that includes their appearance, disappearance and interaction. Dr Joe Dispenza describes the quantum better than anyone. We are all part of a vast, invisible field of energy, which contains all possible realities and responds to our thoughts and our feelings.³

An example, for how I see the planets, numbers and the quantum field. Last year I desired a new home. I began to focus on houses. Some days I looked at realestate.com, and I walk a few days a week, subconsciously I was looking at houses. When I was walking, I thought, I really would love a new home that is bigger and better than my current one. I would love more space. Then I could write more, and if I had more space, I could put a massage table in and do my Reiki! The thought and the feeling have now become aligned with the quantum field. That evening I looked at realestate.com and gave no further thought to it.

I then went away for a holiday, and when I returned from my holiday, I spoke to a couple of my family members. They suggested to me, Why don’t you move? The thought lingered in my mind, and before I knew it, I went back to look at realestate.com. Then I saw a house for sale. This house was one that I had desired for a while. Before I knew it, I had put a deposit on the house and sold my current house the very next day! I had aligned my thoughts and feelings so well that the energy went out to the universe and delivered. Also, when I looked at my astrological chart and checked my numbers, it indicated moving house, and numerology indicated new beginnings and changes. This is what I find so fascinating.

When I prepare a natal chart, I generally look at the current transits and view the natal chart with the current transits that I can now produce with my computer’s astrological software, involving a bi-wheel. This chart helps me to see what is going on in a person’s life currently and further down the field. However, I do not look too far. I believe the present day is more important, and keeping our minds focused on the present is most important. Next, I look at the person’s solar chart. This is calculated for the exact moment when the sun returns to the same sign, degree, and minute where it was at birth, and it occurs every year. The solar chart allows astrologers to see the main themes and experiences for that year. Progressed planets, in particularly the progressed moon, is one aspect that I find important. Secondary Progressions as they are called involves moving the natal chart forward one day for each year of a person’s life. So for example, a person born on April 2, 1982 would have a progressed chart for 2007 drawn up based on the position of the planets on April 27 1982, (ie 25 days for 25 years). The patterns formed 25 days after the person’s birth are considered to be symbolic of the person’s 25th year of life, and indicate potential tendencies and trends for the year.⁴ A progressed moon will stay in the same astrological sign for two and half years. Our needs, material, educational, travel, and relationships will be confirmed by the astrological sign in which our progressed moon is sitting. It will also determine our emotions and style of dress. Last but not least, I look at the lunar chart. This chart is calculated for the exact moment that the moon returns to the same sign, degree, and minute where it was positioned at the time you were born. This occurs every month. Astrologers use these charts, similar to the solar chart, to see where the native’s (the person who owns the natal chart) energy, will be applied and what activities the person may experience.

From my observation, we are creators, and we are in school here on earth. We are here to learn about ourselves, tackling the challenges that we have put before us. We need to learn to create better experiences in a loving and positive way. We could learn not to react to some situations, or to step out of our way and let life unfold without us judging and trying to work out solutions. Everything is connected; what is within is without, and what is without is within. Both the planets and numbers are connected and work within us on a subconscious level. The subconscious is what we try to change because it is our automatic responses to life experiences, depending on the circumstances and whether it is positive or negative. The planetary configurations of our natal charts—the chart that we have set up before we came in this physical experience—are compiled with easy aspects that we have mastered many life times before, together with challenges that we are trying to master in this life experience. We think and feel strong emotions just before an event is about to take place in our birth charts. The numbers are vibrating to the frequency of that particular experience or event. The creative process for us is how we respond to our earthly existence. We should remember that we are creators who created our birth charts before we came into our physical bodies. We need to recognise that the immensity of ourselves is so powerful, and we have the choices to bring so much greatness into our lives.

Using astrological calculations, I’ll briefly outline the astrology as it applied to me when finding my new home.

I desired the house, as I previously mentioned. The subconscious thought of desiring a bigger house filtered into my consciousness. In my astrological solar chart (yearly chart), which comes into effect six months before my birthday, the sun and moon were sitting in the fourth house sector. This sector represents the home and family. The moon, which rules the sign of Cancer, also represents the home and family. The moon rules real estate and changes, so wherever the moon is sitting in your solar chart, it always indicates changes. In my chart, the moon was making an aspect to the planet Saturn, which rules real estate and restructuring.

When that chart came into existence at August 2, 2013, I asked myself, am I moving? Then I thought, No! I couldn’t possibly be moving. My husband doesn’t want to move. I can’t see it. No, that can’t be right. Furthermore, I had an easy aspect from the third house sector of neighbours, community, and transport. The planet Venus rules love, money, and beauty. Venus was making a conjunction with (sitting beside) the planet Pluto, which rules transformation, power, and rebirth. A negative slant on this aspect would be destructive. When I looked at this solar chart, I thought, New car? No, it couldn’t. I can’t see that happening. Oh well. Let’s see how the chart pans out.

I have explained how the house and car are highlighted in the solar chart, and travel is as well. The planet Jupiter rules travel, higher learning, and religion, to name a few, and it was sitting in my solar chart in the ninth house of long journeys. The planet Venus was making a conjunction to (sitting beside) the planet Pluto. Pluto was making a sextile (a term astrologers use when planets are sixty degrees from one another) to the part of fortune in the solar chart. A sextile is viewed by astrologers as an opportunity. The part of fortune in a chart indicates an area of good fortune and ease in a birth chart. The planet Pluto was also squaring (ninety degrees apart from) the planet Uranus, which rules sudden, the unexpected, and change. A square represents challenge and conflict.

On October 19, 2013, my husband, mother, father, and I took a train trip on a long journey to Longreach, Western Queensland. This was a trip I had desired for a year, before the solar chart came into play. The planet Jupiter (the planet of luck and expansion) was making an easy aspect to the part of fortune. As mentioned previously, before I went on our holiday, I was looking at realestate.com and noticed a house I’d really liked some fifteen years earlier. My youngest son was looking after our cat while we were away. When we came home from our holiday, he asked, How long do you intend to stay in this house?

I don’t know, I replied. That comment got me thinking.

The next day, I looked at the real estate again on the computer. I saw the house I really loved had not sold. I mentioned it to my husband and put an idea across to him that if we purchased the house, we could transform the garage so he could have a place to paint. He thought about it and said, You could drive up the street tomorrow, and if it feels right, you can contact the agent.

Well, I drove up the street to the front of the house, and guess what? It felt right! On November 5, 2013, we put down a deposit and started the proceedings for the house to settle on December 16. Our current house had yet to be sold. We put it up for sale on November 7, and it sold the very next day. I agree with most people who say that it was meant to be. At that moment, two planetary configurations for that time frame delivered my desires, the train trip and the house!

My husband and I moved into the house on December 18, 2013. A few weeks later, a reminder for service for my car flashed up on its screen. I must admit, I like everything I own to be maintained, especially my car. I booked an appointment in on January 20. I was very lucky that the service manager arranged for someone to pick up my car and deliver me with a service car to run around in while my car was being serviced. When I looked out the door to see what car they had delivered, it was love at first sight! Practical thinking of not needing another car, or There is nothing wrong with my current car, went out the window! I took
