Karen had been avoiding Maddi and Lola as much as possible. She had no idea what had happened to them, especially Lola. It seemed as if one minute Lola was a normal college student getting ready for her senior year and the next she was a complete bimbo.

From what Karen could tell, Maddi and Lola had been hanging out together ever since. They spent long hours away from the house. Karen had no idea where they went. She had considered following them for about half a second before she decided that it was best not to know. Whatever had happened to Lola, Karen figured it was because she had chosen to investigate Maddi’s changes. Karen was not about to make the same mistake as her friend, even if it had been the logical thing to do.

It was the first day of classes and Karen had no idea if Maddi and Lola were actually on campus or if they were off doing whatever it was that bimbos did instead of attending class. Not that Karen had the mental bandwidth to both think about her housemates and her classes. Some seniors were able to get their hardest classes out of the way in advance, leaving them the opportunity to coast their way through their final year. Karen was not so lucky.

A semester abroad to start her junior year left Karen a little behind. She was able to transfer some of her
