About this ebook
"Ritually infused / and crisply strung out / on a madhouse journey / flatfishing." With trippy interference running throughout, the collection of poems in Collecting the Dots explores change in an environment full of slick spots and turns and muses on the concept that everything you need resides at your doorstep.

COLLECTING THE DOTS
I’M SKIPPING LUNCH
Standing dumbfounded
I confronted a flood
of shooting stars
mistimed gushers
floating silences
leaky stretches
a surreal scrape with Big Foot
an outpouring of theories
of doodles
of twinkles
all told
eliciting an aha.
Oh my.
SPLAT, CRACKLE, SQUAWK
Approaching staccato
and breaking at
the more encouraging part
unleashed an unnerving
vibration that changed
J’s bounce underfoot.
The reactive transition
steep and clean
jarred loose her icy silence
and did not leave any stains.
It all came back
just like that
that the blue tabby was a copycat.
But she had already been
drawn to the original.
