    Heavenly seduction

    Love draws you to me,

like the pull of a luminous moon,

    an irresistible force

seducing the tide to rise from its ocean bed

and join the celestial body in heavenly union.

    Driftwood

    I found you by chance

    like a piece of driftwood

    buffeted and bleached

an unexpected gift, a weary traveller

    seemingly abandoned

carried by strong seas, origin unknown

    destination a mystery.

Though gnarled and twisted by unforgiving elements

the protective exterior of your birth
