High steaks game of hide and sika

High peaks stand in a cloak of cloud. All around the air is crisp cold and the winter skies are blue. Fog, low cloud and mist all mean it’s a waiting game but, when mountain hunting for sika is the objective, it’s always worth the hanging around. I’d done my share of waiting as Storm Barra came and went and — with the children’s trampoline retrieved from the neighbour’s garden — my day on the mountain was set.
