AUTHOR’S NOTE
JUST A QUICK note to my readers: After completing my first How To book, The Art of Pastel Mastery of The Mastery Series, I knew the next book in the series had to be The Art of Colored Pencil Mastery.
I have a history of working in the medium. Thirty years worth. It is one of my favorites, and done correctly, yields beautiful interpretations of people and animals. I have examples of both in my personal gallery.
The application process for burnished colored pencil is unique, less sequential, and more physically challenging than that for pastel, although the outcomes for a colored pencil master are equally rewarding. Perhaps more photorealistic.
I did not have these steps as a beginner. I acquired them through experience and practice.
Creativity is an awesome gift from God. If I can again assist anyone in the identification of that gift, and the burnishing of that image
