Creative floral portraits

I love vibrant colours and combining flowers with fine art portraiture is a recurring theme that I have been exploring recently. Besides its impactful, cheerful aspect, this style of floral portraits has allowed me to put into practice some fundamentals of traditional representational art while at the same time adding a touch of contemporaneity to it, which is why I keep returning to it so often.

In the next four articles, I'm going to show you how I created my painting Cherry Blossom, left, and I hope it will inspire you to incorporate some aspects of my creative and painting process into your own practice.
