Capture flesh tones using three colours

Artists have a tremendous number of pigments and materials available to choose from but sometimes, the abundance of options can be overwhelming. In fact, to create a realistic painting of the human body, many artists have limited their choices in order to enhance their creative interpretation of flesh, from Zorn, who used his now famous Zorn palette of just three colours, to modern illustrators such as Phil Hale, who uses a greatly reduced palette in many of his illustrations and paintings.
