When less is more

Richard Suckling

originally trained as an illustrator at Cambridge School of Art and worked as an illustrator in London for a number of years before switching to painting in pastel. Richard travels to teach regular workshops on pastel painting throughout the UK and in the US online via the internet with demonstrations and classes. He sells his work worldwide through galleries and privately through his social media pages and website www.richardsuckling.co.uk

He has written articles on pastel painting and been featured in art magazines in the UK, USA, France and China. His mission is to promote soft pastel passionately as a medium at any opportunity.

Painting with soft pastels offers the artist access to a vast palette of colours, premixed in convenient stick form, to create the paintings.
