JUST A QUICK note to my readers: I have always wanted to do a How To book. I put it on my personal 2022 To Do List, and I hope to offer several more in the future.

Until recently, I hadn’t settled on a topic. And yet I’ve always loved sharing my gifts with others. Why not explain what I know? Fine Art. Specifically, pastel mastery, to start.

I’ve been an artist for a lifetime. I’ve had plenty of success. But also some misses. Earlier this year, while completing a portrait of Michael Jordan, followed by John Madden, both of which were powerful, I stopped what I was doing, considered my process, my mindset, and jotted several key steps I believe are vital to achieve an art piece that leaves an impression.
