Krelzyn Sagas: The Bleak Land

I am in a boat. I am Joryn Zorecht, the Baron of Bjorno and a Krelzyn Warrior. The only place for my boat is as the first to land on the Bleak Land shore. I work hard at making sure that my boat is the lead boat. In fact, I work so hard that I don’t have time to worry about leading the raid. My boat lands and the Krelzyn warriors and I drag my boat above the high tide line. I then lead my squad of Krelzyn warriors along our assigned path. We move quietly, hearing only the sound of the sea breeze and the waves lapping at the shore.
I detect the sound of a gently snoring watchman. I draw my sword and make sure that the watchman will not awake. The Krelzyn warriors and I then attack the control center of the Bleak Land’s machine. There is only a sleepy night crew in the control center. Before the night crew can come fully awake, the Krelzyn warriors and I make sure that the night crew will never come fully awake. I do my share of the killing and more.
Following Amarantha’s instructions, I then activate the Krelzyn portals.
Krelzyn warriors begin to clear the Krelzyn portals and Krelzyn sappers come through the portals. The sappers, combat engineers, have Amarantha furnished targets for explosive devices. The sappers do that which they do and the lights go out in the Bleak Land’s machines. Shortly thereafter, power cables are severed and machines are destroyed. There is no immediately detectable change and my Krelzyn raiders secure the area.
It then takes a while, but heavily armed Krelzyn troops begin to join the raid, from out of just re-enabled portals.

Chapter 1: The Legend of The Bleak Land

I was born and grew up on the little island of Bjorno. I was a poor boy and could only look forward to a fisherman’s life. However, I’m a very good small boat sailor. In order to advance myself in the world, I undertook a dangerous and illegal voyage, from Bjorno, to a nearby island, called The Watchtower, in order to search for valuable Krelzyn artifacts. I found Krelzyn artifacts in The Watchtower and I also found quite a bit more.

As a result of my adventures in The Watchtower, in a pinnacle rock in the ocean and in a boat race, I now have quite a bit of money and several profitable businesses on Bjorno. I am the Baron of Bjorno and also a Krelzyn Legend Warrior.

I am now married to Amarantha, a High Priestess of the Krelzyn. Amarantha and I now live in our own house, on Bjorno. Amarantha is a real beauty, but she still needs to learn how to cook.

Amarantha took the King’s Cup, that I won in a famous boat race, into her hands. By doing so, she learned things of perhaps thousands of years ago. She learned how the Bleak Land, the former home of the Krelzyn, came to be the Bleak Land. Unfortunately, if those who created the Bleak Land learn that Amarantha knows how the Bleak Land was created and are still maintained, they will kill her.

I lecture my wife, The fact that the Bleak Land was created, is well known. How the Bleak Land was created is not well known. If you know how, it may be that you can reverse the forces that created the Bleak Land. Those who created the Bleak Land may well try to kill you, to prevent you from reversing the forces. We must see that those who may want to kill you do not succeed.
