Author’s Note
I have been in many places in my life. I am now living in Panamá.
I was in music during the hippie era, so had contact with many people of many psychological bents. We didn’t make judgements (I still don’t) about groups. It was Do your own thing!
and Everybody to their own bag!
That probably has a lot to do with my reaction to the different culture here, particularly among the Indigenos, who I consider my best and most numerous friends.
While my personal experiences ... are no one’s business, I know more than a few who could be the subjects under study here. Because a person hasn’t had personal experience with a thing he may still have been in a position to observe and may be close to others who have. He may have friends who tell him about their experiences and feelings in much more detail than necessary or desired.
This is putting several people I know together. Individual situations are real. The collective parts are partly real. The feelings are often what has been described to me, not my own. A different psychological make-up tenders different feelings, particularly in sexual matters.
My parents, many centuries ago, or so it seems at times, were religious. I was raised to think that even fantasizing about sexual things was a sin and I was doomed to hell because I liked getting my rocks off. You didn’t even kiss a girl until you were engaged. To even look at another nude man was pretty close to the edge and to actually touch him damned you to eternal fire!
In junior high school I was close friends with a loose
girl. She would actually let me touch the forbidden places. She even seemed to like it!
I know I did!
I started playing the guitar when one of my best friend’s brother, a very famous singer since, who had several hit records at the time, taught me. I started hanging around with musicians then. A couple were gay, but I made it plain I was not interested in such things! I said it wasn’t natural, it was an abomination. Sex was God’s way to continue the human race, so it was natural with a woman, but not with a man.
That was the first time I read in the Bible about those abominations I’d been told about. A man who later became a semi-famous drummer said something like, Do you like the shrimp basket at the (a local fast food chain)?
out of the blue, or so it seemed.
Yeah! They put garlic in it! It’s great!
He showed me in the Bible, in Leviticus, if I remember correctly (Which I do at least twenty percent of the time), that eating crustaceans and shellfish is an abomination unto God.
XXXX in there (pointing to the studio) was just telling us all how he liked that Gilda woman because she gave the best blow job in the world and she liked it in the ass. Is that natural?
"Well, it’s with a woman, so ... everybody does that with a
