"Focus On Healing" starts off with Gabriel and Ty at 6-years-old. They meet at the orphanage. The owner has them work. She does not let them be seen by other kids or potential parents. When they are 10, Gabriel and Ty meet Louis. He gives them a note from Wayne. Louis is now their lawyer and the orphanage is in Gabriel and Ty's names. When they are 12, Michael adopts Gabriel and Ty. Gabriel and Ty try to work hard but Michael says their only job is adjusting to being there. Gabriel is focused on Ty's healing. Ty resists healing. He does not think he deserves to heal. When Gabriel and Ty are 18, they still live with Michael. Ty still resists healing. One day, Ty gets hurt. He sees Michael crying. After breaking down before the Lord in the Chapel, Ty tells eveyone he is sorry for the way he had been treating them.

TY, 6, shoulder length straight brown hair, intense blue eyes, dressed in a long sleeve black shirt, black jeans, and black tennis shoes, and GABRIEL, 6, shoulder length light brown (almost blond) hair, green eyes, dressed in a long sleeve red and white shirt, black jeans, black and red tennis shoes, are standing facing PEARL.

PEARL

This is your home now.

She walks out. Gabriel turns to face Ty.

GABRIEL

My name is Gabriel. What is your name?

TY

Ty.

INT. – ORPHANAGE – NEXT DAY, 5 A.M.

Gabriel and Ty are sweeping.

INT. – ORPHANAGE – TWO HOURS LATER

Gabriel and Ty are dusting.

INT. – ORPHANAGE, BASEMENT ROOM – EIGHT HOURS LATER

Gabriel and Ty watch as Pearl walks over.

GABRIEL

When are we going to start school again?

PEARL

You both are done with school.

GABRIEL

We’re.

PEARL

You will do what I say!

INT. – ORPHANAGE, BASEMENT ROOM – FOUR HOURS LATER

Gabriel and Ty are standing facing each other.

GABRIEL

How did your parents die? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.

TY

Two men shot them in the house. They saw me but left me alone. My parents died before they got to the hospital.

GABRIEL

That’s horrible.

GABRIEL

(beat)

My parents killed themselves.

INT. – ORPHANAGE, KITCHEN – NEXT DAY, 9 A.M.

Gabriel and Ty are mopping the floor.

INT. – ORPHANAGE, BASEMENT ROOM – SIX HOURS LATER

Ty is sitting on the bed by the left corner. He is reading a book. Gabriel walks over.

GABRIEL

What are you reading?

TY

Someone threw out this science book.

GABRIEL

Would be okay if I join you?

Ty looks at Gabriel.

TY

Join me how?

GABRIEL

I would like to read the book too.

TY

Okay.

Gabriel sits on the bed on Ty’s right side. They look at the book.
