NATE, 40, brown hair, blue eyes, dressed in a long sleeve button down tan shirt, black pants, and black shoes, is standing with his back to a desk.

He watches as MICHAEL, 39, long straight black hair, brown eyes, dressed in a long sleeve button down red shirt, black pants, and black shoes, walks in.

NATE

I know you have wanted to adopt a child.

MICHAEL

Yes.

NATE

There are five boys you might be interesting in fostering. You might even want to adopt some of them.

NATE

(beat)

Kye and Ty were taken from their homes because of abusive situations. They cannot go back to those homes. Jye’s mother died of cancer. He never knew his father. John James’ parents were killed when a drunk driver hit their car. Gabriel’s parents killed themselves. All five boys are 8-years-old.

MICHAEL

They all need love. I will foster them.

NATE

All of them?

MICHAEL

Yes.

NATE

Five 8-year-olds might be a lot.

MICHAEL

I don’t care.

NATE

The only one I think might give you trouble is Kye.

MICHAEL

When can the five boys come?

NATE

I will bring them today.

Great. I will go get things ready.

Michael watches as Nate walks over.
