About this ebook
This book will pick your brain and make you question many things. Randomness surrounds us and it's literally everywhere. It governs every aspect of the universe, and that's why we should learn to embrace its existance. Our perception to order might not really be the way we think it is. We set a goal that we might or might not reach, but many things change, fail, or succeed along the way towards that goal. Is it luck or destiny? What is luck? What is destiny? Are they something meant to be? What makes you, "you" and me, "me"?
That in addition to many other questions are tackled in this read. Enjoy and remember "Never Stop Questioning"!

Randomness - Fadi Khoury
Introduction
The idea of this book, and even the title, were on my mind for more than seventeen years. I was a teenager when the idea of randomness, and how chaotic the world can be, started to hit on my mind. When we calculated during our biology class the probability of a specific sperm reaching the ovum, I was like WOW
. I mean it’s almost impossible for me to come to existence! Then I started wondering, and questioning everything. Nothing escaped my questioning including religion, purpose of life, our existence, good and evil and so on.
How many times have we asked ourselves, why is that happening to me? Why me? What did I do wrong?
Usually, we wonder when bad things happen to us. Human nature tends to take credit for accomplishments and throws blame when things don’t go according to plans. Many factors come across along the way; we give ourselves credits for good things and find excuses or someone to blame for bad things. We set a goal that we might or might not reach, but many things change, fail, or succeed along the way towards that goal.
Is it luck or destiny? What is luck? What is destiny? Are they something meant to be? What makes you, you
and me, me
?
Lots of similar questions hit us every time we face challenges in our lives. What makes me realize how small and fragile we are is when I look at earth from far away. We are more than 7 billion human beings scattered on a relatively huge land. Each one of us knows only a few people whether family or friends. That’s how disconnected each one of us is from the rest of the world. But what if I tell you that even though the degree of disconnection looks so big, any person from the 7 billion can have a direct or indirect effect on your life! Wondering how? Well let me explain. By holding this book in your hands at this moment, even though you don’t know the writer, and you might be sitting thousands of miles away from me, I will probably leave you with something new, something that opens your eyes on other things in life. You might decide for example to change your job, or even your career. You might decide to go on a vacation where you meet your future spouse, and you might, and you might...
Those events are all governed by a single known event called randomness, which is a sequence of infinite unknown events.
