One should live one's life according one's own credo. I have always believed this. I have traveled the world and had many adventures as the captain of my own destiny. I have always been the one to have a girl in every port. I have always been the one in command of any situation in which I found myself. I have been a man who has lived life as a man ought. And because of that I give to you the experiences of a lifetime as a man who knows what he wants and gets what he wants. My stories are only slightly altered from the pages of my biography. Raised in a Florida town, I joined the Merchant Marine and traveled the world. I have seen everything worth seeing and done everything worth doing. Now I share the experiences of a life well lived, the life of a man, with you. Enjoy!

It was only when he heard the voices upstairs that Joey pulled his piece.

As a proud and gifted member of the Metropolitan Police, Joey always wore a gun, concealed under his pants-leg, or under his shoulder. It was a dangerous world out there, and Joey was one of the good guys. Even in his own, quiet neighborhood in Monterrey, in New Jersey, just off the George Washington Bridge, Joey tried to be prepared. So, when he entered his neighbor, Jim's house, he carried his piece on him – even though he never really expected that he would have to use it.

They did favors for each other, or their wives, all the time. They dated together. They traded keys. They even vacationed together. So it was nothing out of the ordinary for Joey to walk into his friend's house.

Hey, Tommy, Joey called into the seemingly empty house. He frowned at the silence. Both cars were in the driveway. Tom never slept past five-am since he reached the day shift. He was about to step back out and close the door when he heard the voice. Instead of retreating, Joey stepped forward and closed the door behind him.

The voice came again. You gon' clean that shit off my junk, boy!

What the fuck? Joey whispered. Like a cat, he crouched and pulled his piece and straightened back up in a single, fluid move.

That's right, boy! said the voice. Get me ready fo' yo woman!

Shit! Joey tore up the stairs, gun at the ready.

Damn, said another voice. You ain't never gonna feel his puny gun after we through with you!
