Beverly Fearon
Beverly Fearon grew up in a large family on a farm in the middle of California. She loved to play with her sisters but she had to spend a lot of time in the hospital. This is where she learned to use her imagination. As she grew she made up stories for her own children. Then she made up stories for her grandchildren. Then she decided to try and make these stories into real books for other children to read. She still has to spend time in the hospital but she uses the time to make up even more stories in hopes that those stories will make many children happy all over the world when they are made into books.

A terrible, violent storm was bashing and thrashing all sides of a great passenger ship! Screams filled the air as the people darted back and forth trying to keep the ship from sinking.
Exactly in the middle part of the ship, right at the fattest part of the hull a mother was holding tight to her new baby. The mother was terribly afraid, but the baby loved the rocking and the rolling caused by the huge waves outside. She loved it so much, that she began to laugh for the very first time!
The laugh danced out of the baby’s mouth and then turned that very second into a fairy! The ship’s window (called a porthole) didn’t even break as the fairy popped though it right onto a very tiny island the ship was passing.
The storm seemed to know how magical and rare it was for a fairy to be born at sea so it settled down that very second!
Mia fairy stood up, shook herself to get the sea water off and looked around.
