The Frog and the Fish
Once upon a time there was a little frog.
He wanted to catch a fish. He dived and swam after a fish, but unfortunately, the little frog could never catch one.
At some point the little frog got tired and didn't want to chase after the fast fish anymore. So the little frog chose a new game. When there were lots of water and lily leaf floating on the pond, he got the idea of hopping from leave to leave, he wanted to jump from one lily leaf to the other.
But that was not so easy for a little frog with no experience. And it would take courage and strength to do so.
So the little frog first practiced with those leaves lying very close together and near to the pond’s edge. Because that way he was sure that he could jump on one and not fall into the water. So he jumped happily from one leaf to the next, he whistled and had fun. The leaves were all close and it was easy.
However, this soon became too boring and too easy for the little frog, and so he chose a leaf that was floating quite far from the shore. He really wanted to jump onto this lily leaf. He was very excited and said to himself: Yes, I can do it!
The little frog took a lot of running and made a really big jump.
Then there was a splash, and the little frog fell face down into the water just before he had reached the leaf. The little frog was struggling. A large gulp of water went down his throat, so that he had to cough heavily and could hardly swim. As fast as
