    Allow yourself

    By Deep Shikha

Allow yourself not to be okay sometime,

Allow yourself to be joyous without any reason or rhyme

Allow yourself to be happy each day

Allow yourself not to get disturbed by what people say

Allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from them

Allow yourself to be coal and be polished like a gem

Allow yourself to be that IMPERFECT you

Allow yourself to discard the old and buy the new

Allow yourself to sing no matter how coarse is your voice

Allow yourself to take a decision and firmly stand by your choice

Allow yourself to innovate and create

Allow yourself to let go of the things which frustrate

Allow yourself to dance in the rain

Allow yourself to cry during pain

Allow yourself to leave a bad habit which ha kept you in cage

Allow yourself to quit a relationship with full of rage

Allow yourself to take a break today and work tomorrow

Allow yourself to heal your own sorrow

Allow yourself to think that life is not always fair

Allow yourself to breathe calmly in the fresh air

Allow yourself to daily carry on with your sparkling crown

Allow yourself to achieve even if others frown.

    Superstar in aquarium

    By Deep Shikha

    "You are not that fit,

And I’m sure you won’t be able to do it,"

Muttered the tiny bro fish passed by.

Even after this, Superstar’s heart whispered,

    Why can’t I?

She wanted to explore the blue ocean which was really vast,

For this reason, she wanted to grow up fast.

"This aquarium has so many facilities which are new,

You will stay safe as the fellow fishes are few."

(Mom fish tried to convince the young superstar).

Superstar became upset and felt really low,

The ocean’s water attracted her daily and desperately she wanted to go.

Feeling like a prisoner she began to cry,

She thought to ask papa fish and give it a try.

"The ocean has fishes of different religion and race,

Do you have any idea about the difficulties you will face?"

He scolded her and looked at her with disgrace.

My goal from here is very far,

Boldly uttered the tiny little star.

Everyone in the family then said,

Do you know the consequences if you fail?

What if I successfully strive and sail?

Superstar’s eyes filled with sparkle and she nodded her head.

Superstar prayed to God to hear her only wish,

Hearing this God decided to help by sending a Genie fish.

    The other day morning

    Genie fish met Superstar,

And assured her that she will make her life at par.

The only condition was that she will never quit,

And Genie fish would teach her how to deal with it.

With time, she was able to grow her fin,

Which became her tool so that she could win.

Fellow fishes looked at her with a sigh,

But she was confident enough to rise high.

Finally the day had come to leave the aquarium and bid everyone goodbye.

The family also saw some scope,

And sent her with all her hope.

Superstar’s life began in full motion,

As she left for the gigantic ocean.

At last, she turned her aspirations true,

And stays calmly in the ocean blue.

Now, she along with Genie fish

Trains all the fellow fishes every quarter,

To break-free their cages and dive in Ocean’s water.

    Far across the stars

    By Medhavi Dua

One day far across the stars, there lived a little bird. The little bird often wondered what existed on the other side of the stars. She wasn’t unhappy where she currently resided, but curiosity got the better of her. She had tried flying past the moon, which was positioned between her world and the other world many times, but she could never make it.

Eventually, she blamed the moon for being so stubborn. Months went by, and the little bird failed again and again. Feeling dejected, she went back to where she belonged, or at least thought that she did.

The bird’s daily routine was pretty set. It involved picking twigs for her nest, hunting for worms, and visiting her fellow friends in other trees. In her free time, she also tutored others’ babies, and gave them lessons on chirping.

All the residents of the trees made it a point to meet each other every evening after work, and they went together on a flying expedition. It was a routine that was well-suited to many, and also, a fun activity for the kids. But as time went by, the little bird got more agitated with her humdrum life.

One such day, while searching for the twigs, the bird was disturbed by hearing multiple squeals. After hiding the twigs in a safe place, she flew high up in the sky to find the source of the commotion.
