WILDEST DREAM

The water was warm as Attia, the female siren, swam across the ocean. Attia was the name bestowed on her by her parents when she was born. The smoothly flowing water left a cooling sensation on her skin. Exerting extra energy, Attia dived upwards as she went up against the current. The closer she was to the surface, the bluer the ocean water got. Attia surged upwards, and the ray of sunlight hit her body. It made her olive-green skin glint beautifully under the sun. Closing her eyes, Attia breathed the fresh air breezing past her. Only water could be seen as she looked around.

She dived back into the water and swam closer to the island she used to frequent now and then. It was one of those human-free islands; where every living creature could live in peace without disturbance from humans. The splashing sound of the waves as they hit the rocky shore accompanied her as she drew closer. The mother birds who noticed her presence started to guard their eggs, hatchlings and nestlings. Even though she made it clear that she meant no harm every time she came for a visit, one could never be too sure. Attia was one of the infamous ocean predators, after all. She understood their reaction.
