About this ebook
He's strong and sweet and a tad overly neat.
Even with a mild case of OCD, Bryce Fielding is an outstanding fireman. As the eldest of ten siblings, he learned very early to make sense out of chaos. When a spark he thought might never return flickers, he knows he must do something about it.
She's helpful and hopeful but not really social.
Large animal veterinarian, Harlow Landon, is more comfortable around her horses than people. Her dreams of a surgery and rehabilitation center on the property she bought from her neighbor are in peril. But when she meets a handsome fireman, her outlook on life becomes much brighter.
Will siblings, land disputes, and insecurity hinder the pair from fulfilling their dreams together?

Lindsey Gray spends her days and most of her nights creating characters, over thinking everything, and trying to remember all the things on her massive to-do list. One thing that is always at the top of her list is writing something she hopes others will enjoy. Her journey into authordom began when her first novel was published in 2010. Through trials, tribulations, and learning how to work well with others in the author sandbox, she has found a joy she never thought she would know. Her many lists also include mothering her two children, devoting time to her handsome hubby, formatting novels for other authors, and hosting her weekly radio show, Gray Matters, on TMV Cafe Internet Radio.

Table Description automatically generated with medium confidenceA picture containing shape Description automatically generatedA man often looks back on his life as he turns toward the future. Bryce Fielding thought the moment he agreed to do a favor for his mother was just like any other day. If he’d imagined an innocent favor would change his life forever, would he make another decision?
Mom, it’s really okay,
Bryce answered while he juggled his phone on his shoulder and the bag he needed to load into his truck. I haven’t had a lot of time with G lately. This’ll give us time to catch up.
His second youngest brother, Garrison, would graduate from high school in two months. Bryce most often spent at least one evening a week with his family, but with all the end of the year stuff, G had been incredibly busy. When his mother asked Bryce to take G to Landon’s Vista Ranch for his horseback riding lesson, he agreed in an instant.
I’ll be there in a few. I’m in the truck now. You can hear my engine.
Bryce turned the ignition and fired up the engine.
Bryce put the truck in reverse and backed out of his driveway. Bye, Mom.
He disconnected the call and started the two-mile drive to his parent’s home.
He pulled up to the house and honked his horn. The honk summoned not only his little brother but also his sister, Cyn, who lived next door.
Where you two heading?
Cyn asked as Garrison jumped up into the passenger seat.
Bryce is takin’ me to my riding lesson. Do I look enough like a cowboy?
G stuck his foot out of the open door.
Both Bryce and Cyn noted G’s new cowboy boots.
You’ll have fun working those in. I want to hear all about it later.
Cyn leaned in and gave G a smooch on his cheek before she shut the door.
G wiped off his sister’s spit. She does that all the time.
She lived in California for a long time. She’s just making up for lost time.
G might not like his big sister giving him kisses every day, but Bryce thought it was sweet. Cyn had come home to Clarkstown, New York for Christmas vacation the year before and ended
