FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND INTUITION

This story is about not judging people on first impressions, as you will miss out on some fantastic positive connections if you do.

By not judging you will meet people from all different backgrounds: some will become lifelong friends; some will share a common bond; others will be happy to have met you just for a short while.

Also, it is important to listen to your intuition. If you ignore it, you may miss out on an opportunity to find the answer you’ve been searching for!

Wow! Something magical was happening. As we walked upstairs to the event, I couldn’t help but feel excitement. I still had no idea what was about to happen, however I just knew it was going to be good.

Everything kicked into action when we went to the buffet. I felt like a Belisha Beacon as I started to attract people in the queue. It was as if I had a magnet, and everyone was being pulled towards me. That’s when it struck me that this was happening because I was giving off loads of positive energy, and I was attracting people who wanted to share my energy. We all enjoyed quick, happy connections, and everyone I spoke to was full of anticipation for the night ahead.

Let me describe the room for you. There were lots of women in sombre business suits with sombre faces; not at all friendly. Also, there were women who were very colourful and looked like they would burst if they couldn’t talk to someone. These colourful women looked more positive than the ‘suits’ who were all stuck together. I had expected this to be a networking event where people came to meet new people, but these ‘suits’ didn’t look too friendly or open to meeting anyone. I decided it was time for some improvisation to make them join
