Hey,
I wrote this book because it’s written in my charts that I’m sent here to communicate in a public way. I don’t know what exactly, but here I am. Writing to you about my innermost thoughts and beliefs. Something tells me you might believe them too. I’ve been writing since my little yellow pencil could touch paper and promised I’d publish a book one day that people would love and relate to. I thought it would be about fairies, and even though it’s not, it speaks about the magic we all hold and possess. There’s no way we were sent here to eat, breathe, work, and die.
I can’t tell you what your purpose is in this life, but I can tell you that we were all sent here for a higher reason. So, if you could, let your inner child sit beside you and listen while you read. And search for the deeper meaning, it’s there if you open your eyes. Thank you for reading.
With Love,
Shawna
Dedications
To my mother, who submerged her own heart just to water her children.
My husband and children for forcing me to follow my dreams
before I ever knew I was allowed to.
Raven and Candace for creating a safe place for me and my children to thrive.
Jess for consoling me at my lowest. Erin for praying for me at my highest. Aundry for her honesty. Ileana, Sarah, Karina, and Izzy for their ear whenever I needed it.
Hope for turning up the volume on my voice.
To Lani…
And to every girl who knows this world will
chew you up and spit you out but still loves regardless.

1. YOU WERE WRITTEN IN THE STARS
Wishing on a star is just giving your dreams permission to find you.
You don’t question if you’re good enough to wish on that star in the first place.
You just lay it out there, wideout in the open,
knowing that there’s a possibility of them coming true.
If you believe that stars hold magic and you don’t,
you forgot
