About this ebook

The verses contained in this book were written over a long period, covering most of my adult life. And though they may sometimes not be pure in symmetry, meter, and are usually flawed compared to correct poetry, Ive written what Ive felt.

Im sure everyone has had these feelings at one time or another. Sometimes it helps to write down what you are thinking to preserve those memories. Time has a way of fading both the joyful and the sorrow, but being able to read your thoughts from long ago refreshes the memories.

    Foreword

The verses contained in this book were written over a long period covering most of my adult life. And though they may sometimes not be pure in symmetry, meter, and are usually flawed compared to correct poetry, I’ve written what I’ve felt.

I’m sure everyone has had these feelings at one time or another. Sometimes it helps to write down what you are thinking to preserve those memories. Time has a way of fading both the joyful and the sorrow, but being able to read your thoughts from long ago refreshes the memories.

I have been asked why I don’t have a title for each one, instead of just numbering them. The reason is that I believe that the meaning of a lot of these will be very different for each person reading them. If I were to label them, then the individual meaning may be inferred because of my titles. I would rather have you decide what I’m relating to in each. Some will be pretty self-evident. Others, you may interpret differently, depending on your personal experiences. Regardless of what they mean to me, they are meant to evoke some personal emotion in you.

With that in mind, remember that a star is not necessarily a star nor is the sky just what you see above. A mountain isn’t always something physical. Not every lake is filled with water and a stream may be carrying more than can be seen. But, my mother was always my mother and my father was always there. Many things represent those things I hold dear and the beliefs
