About this ebook

If Mez Basarovka is your favourite Kavylak Warrior in the Perspective series, then your book set can’t be complete without his journal!

How did a “Spoiled Prince” from Dmevjekya become an officer in the Kavylak Military’s elite Warrior faction? Take a look at who he was before he became a Warrior and how he came to join the military. Read Mez’ story in his own words, from his own perspective.

Though Mez keeps this journal tucked safely away from prying eyes, don’t worry, nobody will know that you’ve been able to sneak a glimpse – or two or three – at these pages. You’ll be completely safe from that powerful Warrior skill, even as you fall victim to his style, wit, and surprising story.

Recommended Reading Chronology – You’ll get the most enjoyment (and fewest spoilers) from this book if you read it after “So On and So Fourth” in the Perspective series.

    Mez Basarovka - Amanda Giasson

I opened my practice today and have a patient already. One of my recommendations for her was to write her thoughts in a journal, and it made me think of you.

Since the journal and the pen were graduation gifts, and journaling was my first recommendation, it was only fitting to practice what I preached.

It seemed odd to write to myself, so I considered to whom I would like to address my thoughts. I decided that I would prefer to share my most personal thoughts with a friend, and so I am writing to you.

Please allow me to introduce myself to you, Friend. My name is Dr. Mez Basarovka. I'm a doctor of psychiatry, and I live in Capital City, Kavylak.

As I mentioned, I opened my practice today, and I must say that I was very proud to hang my shingle for the first time.

I'm moving into a residence inn tomorrow since I can't stay in the university residences forever. Hopefully I won't be there long, but at least my cooking and cleaning will be done while I get settled at work.

It won't be a tough move since I don't own anything. Of course, if all the guys from class are right, then Capital City sure is the place to be when it comes to selling mental health! Won't be long before I'll have my mansion and 12 wives.

Alright... I probably should tell you that that was a joke, my Friend. Since you don't know me, you wouldn't even realize that I really have no interest in 12 wives. But I wouldn't mind one really good one!

I'll tell you about her. Of course, I haven't met her yet, but I have a pretty clear picture of the woman I'm watching for.

I think all those psychiatry classes taught me how to know myself and what I want.

So, while I don’t know if you're interested in women, I still think you'll be impressed with the future Mrs. Dr. Mez Basarovka.

We’ll start with the shallow part of me. I know the look I want in a wife. She should be reminiscent of home – Dmevjekya. Black hair, dark eyes, and pale skin.

She should be tall and statuesque, always dressed well, and should care enough about herself to make sure her look is always polished when she goes out.

Her personality now (it's not all about looks, of course). She should be an academic. Very well read. I don't mind if she’s still in university. Her expertise should be art or literature or something sexy like that.

She should be demure, confident, happy with herself, friendly, funny, intelligent, a bit proud, a little vain, and well-raised.

I figure I’ll likely see her first, but then I'll make sure she sees me, and I’ll let her make the first move. Sure, men are typically hunters and all that, but letting her act will give her a feeling of control over the situation that I already have since I saw it coming. Giving her that advantage will put us on equal footing. Equality is important to me. A subservient wife is not my cup of
