Parisa Diba

A native of Iran, Parisa grew up outside of Tehran, surrounded by the natural beauty of streams, mountains, and her family's orchards of walnuts, peaches, and cherries. As she has always loved to paint, at the age of twelve, she picked dried mountain flowers, painted them, and sold them in neighborhood cafes. A few years later, she started making handmade postcards and selling them in gift shops.Parisa began her interior design career in Tehran in 2002; in 2007, she took a watercolor class. That's where she saw one of Sterling Edwards' watercolor books. She was moved by the blended and fluid landscapes and fell in love with the medium. She moved to Turkey in 2013 and met Hakan Esmer, a Turkish artist and former university professor, hoping to take some art lessons from him. He had no time to teach, so instead he offered her the use his old studio. Parisa found herself walking to an old building every day and painting for hours and hours. In 2016, Parisa immigrated to the United States, took up residency in Orange County, California, and started an art school. She is now a watercolor artist and an art instructor specializing in large One-Wash paintings inspired by the ocean and the water. Her paintings are owned by private collectors worldwide. When she's not painting, teaching, or designing, Parisa enjoys relaxing with her husband Sam and their dog, Coco. For more information about her online school, to see her artwork, and learn more, please visit:www.ParisaDiba.comwww.OnlineWatercolorSchool.com
