Road To The Crown Vol.II - Trinity Bush

    Introduction

4-year-old Trinity was supposed to be eating her dinner while I ran to the laundry room to tend to the laundry chores.

Trinity: Momma, am I getting taller?

Me: Yes, you are getting taller

    Trinity: Yep, I knew it.

    Me: You knew what, Trinity?

Trinity: I knew you don’t have to eat to grow.

Me: What? Trinity, what are you talking about?

Trinity: I didn’t eat my spaghetti, but I got taller!

Me: You didn’t eat your dinner, girl?! (I fell out laughing!)

I was blessed with the beautiful opportunity to be the mother of this now 11-year-old, witty, spunky, articulate, influential, and hilarious little girl named Trinity Bush. Being the middle child, Trinity has been adamant about having a voice and creating her place in this world. Trinity has always been extremely talkative and could reason beyond her years. The things she has been saying and doing would make others smile and laugh. So, when she was 2 years old, I started sharing her stories through social media calling them the #TrinityChronicals

We learned early that her character traits were either going to make her the greatest leader of a gang or the President of the United States. Lol.  We are grateful she is going towards the latter!

The above character traits have created a Pageant Queen, Motivational Speaker, CEO, Actress, and a best seller Author!  This book in your hand is yet another extension of who Trinity is.

Trinity is a girl who loves to help other girls. It is her daily goal to empower and encourage the next girl. So, she took on the audacious task of finding 16 girls who also want to empower and encourage others!

Did you know that kids can be authors? Did you know that kids can be articulate and poised? Do you know that kids can start businesses? Road To The Crown is about to shake your beliefs of what is possible!

Buckle up and get ready for a fun and powerful ride with 17 girls as they share how their pageant journeys have turned into business!! Get ready to have everything you believe about kids redefined because these girls break all the rules, defy the odds, and accomplish things that most adults haven’t accomplished.

    Trinity’s Mom & Biggest Cheerleader

    Forward

I am honored to write this foreword, not just because I have been Trinity Bush’s Pageant Coach since she was 7 years old, but because she truly believes that you should take confident actions to pursue your dreams and make them happen.

I began my career as a professional runway model at the age of 15. Given the opportunity to share my skills with others opened many doors by becoming a fashion model instructor. My passion has always been helping others. At the age of 24, I became CEO of Montezic Model Management. After 30 years in the modeling business, I was invited to judge a beauty pageant. That was the beginning of a passion I did not know I had. I judged pageants monthly for about 10 years. By believing passionately in something, you create what you want to see, which I did. Carolina Girls Rock Pageants (CGRP) was formed! Trinity Bush was crowned my 2018 Jr. Pre-Teen Carolina Girls Rock Queen.

I believe that you must know who you are, your unique talents, and your gifts. Trinity makes me proud every time she showcases herself on that pageant stage. Being focused and staying positive makes a difference when you have a goal to reach. Her goal is to inspire other girls by illuminating that confidence when she walks and speaks. Pageantry is a learning experience. I share with my girls that you may not always win the crown, but you may lose and learn while wearing your invisible crown. When you’re doing what you want to do, you use your special gift and thrive. You must always do what it takes!

Trinity Bush is my protege. Her personal growth continues to be an example for other girls. It is a never-ending journey for her; she always learns and develops through experiences. God designed you for your uniqueness and ability. God is the greatest influential source in our lives. Next to his grace, the thoughts we think have the most influence on what we do or become. You must believe in yourself to reach that destination. As Trinity continues to pursue her acting career, participate in and win pageants, write best-selling books, and, not to forget, become a confident CEO of her own business, she continues to take action to reach her goals and to be successful.

Having the opportunity to be a mentor and pageant coach has changed my world. My surroundings have the greatest impact on the person I’ve become. And my surroundings are my supportive family, the CGRP Team, pageant Queens, and Pageant Moms and Dads! Your self-confidence and vision have a bigger influence on the person you are than any outward attire. Decide whom you want to become. I’ve decided to use my gift to the fullest. You will recognize your gift when you identify your passion. So, when you do what you love and love what you do, you are fulfilled with success and happiness.

This book will truly empower you to pursue your dreams. As these girls share their desires and dreams, they will inspire others to believe in themselves and BE THEMSELVES!

    Chapter 1

    Confidence,

    Crowns & Coins

    Trinity Bush

Self Confidence: a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment. Self-confidence is related to your ability to accomplish things, believe in something, and achieve things. It sounds crazy, but my parents tell me that I have been a little confident firecracker since I could talk. So being center stage was always my favorite place.

My palms were sweaty, my legs were shaking, and my heart was racing.

Announcer: And your next North Carolina Jr Preteen queen is Trinity Bush!!

At that moment, I knew all of my hard work paid off. Every Monday night, the practice was well spent. My dedication to learning interview skills and determination to see things through; all paid off!

You would think a sash, crown, bright lights, and attention are all a little girl needs to be happy. Well, you can think again. To be happy in this world, you need to feel loved, give love, feel safe and secure, and most importantly, feel confident in yourself. I saw my family jumping and screaming as I stood on that stage in my sash and crown. I saw the smile on their faces and how happy they looked. It made me feel like I was on top of the world! I felt as if I had just won a billion dollars and was beaming with happiness and pride. Once all the pictures stopped, and I got off the stage, I went to hug my family. Congratulations were coming from everywhere! I finally made it backstage to the changing room. As I was packing up, I saw so many girls crying because they didn’t win, and I felt bad for them and tried to help them by telling them they were amazing.

Once all the cameras were gone, and no one was screaming my name, I was really able to think. I remember it like it was yesterday; I was sitting in the backseat of my mom’s SUV on the 2-hour ride home from the pageant.  I was able to think about what being a Queen actually means, what it means to have the attention of my peers, and what it means to have a stage. At that moment, I realized I didn’t just win a crown and sash; I won the opportunity to use my new platform to help inspire others, more specifically girls just like me!

It is a Queen’s job to help others, inspire others and make a difference. I decided that I wanted to help girls with self-confidence. At the pageant's end, what I saw made me think about how much confidence helps you. Confidence helps you be the best you! If you're not confident, that will show in everything that you do. And you always want to give off a good vibe. You want to be positive even when you don’t reach your goals. Loving yourself means loving yourself, your flaws, strengths, wins, and challenges.

That's where it all started. Since then, I knew I was supposed to help girls become their best selves! Just a month later from that moment, I joined a program called Young Mogul Prep School. That’s where I learned how to turn my passion for inspiring girls into a business. In 2020, Beyond What You See was born! I titled my company Beyond What You See because I wanted to teach people that they are more than what they see in the mirror. Through Young Mogul Prep School, I figured out the services I would offer to help others see beyond the mirror.

I offer an Affirmation clothing line, Self Esteem Fashion Shows, books, and keynote speaking. These services have become what I am known for, for creating creative ways to help others be their best self! Road To The Crown, this very book in your hand is a part of my business. Road To The Crown is a book series I started in 2021 to help create confidence in girls through authorship. I learned through pageantry that it's exciting to be pretty, to have a new hairstyle and a dress with all the bling. Walking in a room and turning heads because of your beauty can feel awesome, but we all have days when we don't feel as pretty. I want pageant girls to know that their beauty is beyond their physical appearance. That their internal gifts to the world also make them beautiful. Creating the Road To The Crown gives pageant girls a platform to look beyond what they see in the mirror. It is a literal extension of my business, and I am grateful to be able to fulfill my mission of Beyond What You See!

Woah Woah, wait a minute, how rude of me not to introduce myself. My name is Trinity Bush. I am 11 years old from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am the CEO and founder of Beyond What You See. I am a girl who
