Intercessory Prayers

Prayer for when you are feeling lost

Father God, I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus. I ask for forgiveness of all my sins, wash me, and cleanse me in your precious blood. Father today I feel so lost, I feel like the weight of this world is on my shoulder. Father, I do not know what to do but I know I can trust in you; so, Father God please calm the fear inside me. Give me a new mindset so that I do not worry about anything. Lord, I know that you promise to never leave me nor forsake me; so give me the confidence to trust you and your words. Comfort my heart today in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10 KJV

If you feel lost, turn to Jesus he will fill your heart with his love.

Prayer for when you are feeling confused

Dear God I thank you for another day. I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, please forgive me of all my sins, wash me, and cleanse me in the blood of Jesus. Father, today I feel so confused about my life. I do not know which way to turn. I feel so tired and weary. Lord, please guide my steps and lead me into your rest. Lord, you said in your words that you will keep me in perfect peace if my mind stays on you. Lord help me to fix my mind and my eyes on you so the problems of this world will not scare me. Thank you Lord in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3 KJV

Keep your mind fixed on Jesus and confusion will leave.

Prayer when facing danger

Lord God, I come to you in Jesus’ name. Father, please keep me and my family from all danger. Father, I believe that no evil will befall us and no plague will come near our dwelling. Father protect us, please protect our going out and our coming in from today and for always. Lord, send your mighty angels to surround us and build a wall of fire around us. Lord keep us from all harm and danger. We love you and give you praise. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalms 34:7 KJV

Do not fear, the God of angel’s armies is fighting for you.

Prayer when there is an unexpected change

Lord God, I come to you in Jesus' name. Lord, I thank you that you will never leave me or forsake me. Father in these times when it seems like everything is upside down. Lord help me to know that you are the rock on which I stand. You are my firm foundation through the storm and trials of life. Comfort my heart Lord, help me to feel secure in the knowledge that you are working everything for my good and your glory. Thank you father for removing the fear of the unknown far from me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 KJV

Times and seasons change but it doesn’t catch God by surprise. Put your life in his hands and trust him with all your heart.

Prayer against the spirit of fear

Father, I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, I feel so tired and worn out struggling with the cares of this world. Lord, I feel so afraid of what the future holds. Lord please give me your peace and remove all fear from my life. I will not fear because you are near Lord. You are closer than the air I breathe. Father, please reassure me that everything will be ok. Lord, I choose to trust you and take you at your words. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
