About this ebook

The timing of events is a hard nut to crack. The Dashas are widely used in Vedic Astrology. However, Dashas have their advantages and limitations. Some people have their set of rules to time the event. I have been using the Dashas and Transits in combination to predict the timing of events. The way I apply transits has many advantages. This book is a small compilation of the method I follow to predict the timing of events. Here are some of the advantages of the method.

  • Identifies Important milestones in life.
  • Predicts the timing of an event with fair accuracy.
  • Application of Transits to Divisional Horoscopes.
  • Identifies eventful phases in life.
  • Identifies the patterns of events.
  • Predict the horoscope of the Progeny.

This method is a good way to experience the rules I presented in Untold Vedic Astrology. It is also a good way to experience the influence of planets on all of us.

Additionally, this book elaborates on the connection between childhood and the impact of childhood on the life of an individual. It also explains the link between the transits and development of the human body and mind. It covers various aspects of life right from education, career, marriage, progeny, and travel to health and death. I am confident that you would enjoy the book and learn much more as you read the book.

Haribhau Borkar was well known astrologer from Goa India. Even though Gaurish could not get much guidance from his grandfather as he died when Gaurish was too young, inherited knowledge was always in the blood. Gaurish got guidance from his cousin grandfather for next few years. After practicing Vedic astrology successfully for more than 6 years, Gaurish realized that just ability of accurate prediction is not good enough but ability to provide a solution is more important. Therefore, he started learning various remedial measures like Reiki, gemmology, hypnosis and NLP along with traditional remedial measures. He started his practice of Vedic astrology again after studying various remedial measures for more than 16 years. Now days he enjoys to evolve people and help them to achieve their goals, rather than just predicting their future.

    DEDICATION

I am dedicating this book to my father’s uncle Late Mr. Madhav Pandurang Borkar. He guided me during my early years in the study of Vedhic astrology. Most importantly he made me think and question everything told or documented and understand it at a logical level. His immense contribution to my upbringing and study of Vedhic astrology needs a special mention here. I take this opportunity to bow down in front of him.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

There are many different methods of timing events and many people developed their methods. Similarly, I developed my methods of timing events and I have been using this method of prediction for quite some time. Recently I started teaching it to my students in Vedhic Astrology and my students asked to author a book on it.

I wanted to author a book on this for quite some time but didn’t get a chance to start it. However, when the students mentioned it, I realized the need and started investing more time in authoring the book. I want to thank all my students wholeheartedly to encourage me to author this book.

I want to thank all the scientists in physiology and psychology who worked on the physical and psychological development of humans without their help I wouldn’t have been able to understand the cycles of planets and their relationship with the development of humans so well.

I also want to thank Mr. Dharmedra Sharma for his support to develop the cover page of the book.

Conventions Used in this Book to Convert Savskruth (Sanskrit) words into English

Savskruth is a phonetic language and it has specific sounds. Unfortunately, not all those sounds are available in English. Due to this limitation, everyone tries to find the nearest sound while converting the Savskruth word into English. We plan to follow certain rules for the sake of consistency. In Savskruth, sounds are grouped by the part or muscle of the mouth or face exercised to pronounce the sound. For example, Pa or Pha is considered as sound exercising lips (Oshthya) and Tha is considered as a sound exercising teeth (Dhantya). Certain conventions used to convert Savskruth sounds in English don’t give proper pronunciation because the group of a sound is changed while conversion. Generally, ta is replaced by ta (T). However, ta and T are from different groups. ta, is Dantya (pronounced by touching the tongue to teeth) and T (ta) is Moordhnya (pronounced by rolling the tongue). Therefore, we have replaced it with another sound from the same group, for example, qa or tha. The Southern part of India follows this methodology for years but many aren’t sure why this convention was followed and they feel it is incorrect. Hence, I wanted to explain it here before following this convention.

Another rule is about Anuswar or dot on any letter. Take an example of the word Sanskrit. Word Sanskrit is grammatically incorrect. The rule says that use an Anunasik (generally last sound) from the same group (Varga) on which the Anuswar is to be given. For example, in the case of Savskruth, Anuswar is on Sa. Sound Sa is from Ya Varga. Anunasik for Ya Varga is Va. Therefore, the word is Savskruth and not Sanskrit. I have explained these concepts in depth in my book ‘Untold Vedic Culture’.

Unlike any other language, Savskruth follows the maximum number of rules. To maintain the grace of any language we shall follow its rules to the maximum extent. I attempt to maintain the purity of the language and I have followed the above conventions in this book. I highly encourage you to learn the basics of Savskruth as you have an interest in Vedic sciences.

Terms Used in the Book and their Meaning

I have used many terms specific to Vedic astrology in this book. It is intentional. When we learn any subject, we learn terms related to the topic and I would like you all to learn terms specific to Vedic astrology. To ease the challenge, the below table gives a list of the terms and their equivalent. I encourage you to go through the table and keep it handy as you start reading the next chapter.

    1. the Purpose

The timing of the event has been a hard nut to crack for many astrologers. It is even more difficult for novice students of Vedhic Astrology. The timing of events has been so complicated by modern astrologers that some people developed mathematically complex methods that are difficult to understand and a few more people complicated them further.

The reason behind the invention of more methods by modern astrologers has its root in classical texts. Many classical texts speak very less about the timing of events. Some classical texts speak about various methods of the timing of events and this includes, methods like various Dhasha and Ashtakavarga.

One of the most common methods of the timing of events is Dhasha. However, when the classical texts refer to Dhasha they don’t specify the Dhasha. The Bruhath Parashar Hora Shasthra has listed down as many as 41 various Dhasha. Some of the most known Dhasha are Vivshothhari Dhasha, Ashtotthari Dhasha, Kalachakra Dhasha, Yogini Dhasha, and so on.

Many novice astrologers fail to apply Dhasha because most of the Dhasha are Nakshathra based but the method of our analysis is purely Rashi based. Some of the recently developed methods of analysis of horoscopes are Nakshathra based but they are very technical and difficult to apply. Additionally, they are too dependent on the accuracy of birth time.

Most interestingly the planetary transits are mentioned in almost every classical text but many details are not available. However, many more details of planetary transits are provided in the Nadi texts. Nadi texts have their limitations due to their cryptic nature and incompleteness.

The planetary transits are much simpler and easy to learn than any other method because of many different reasons. First and foremost, it is based on all the basic rules of analysis that you learned till now. Therefore, you don’t need to learn and apply any additional rules or principles. It is not based on any specific Ayanavsha. Therefore, it can be applied to Sayan as well as Nirayan horoscopes. Accuracy of birth time is important but not as critical as some of the other methods.

Even though this method is simple and fairly accurate. It can predict events with an accuracy of up to ±3 months. It also has the potential to predict the horoscopes of the children of the native. It can even predict the phases of life in the horoscope of a native. It can suggest a good and not so good period of the year, month, and day.

The timing of an event is one of the objective parameters in astrology so it can be measured and the deflection from actual timing can be easily identified. This method is very scientific and accurate. It can be certainly used to prove Vedhic Astrology as a science in near future. It answers many questions people have in their minds about planetary effects on human affairs.

In my experience, I haven’t seen a method of timing events with so many advantages and applications so I decided to present this method in front of all of you and I am sure that you will be happy to learn such a simple and easy method.

    The Purpose
