Ashwini, The First Nakshatra: Nakshatra, #1

Ashwini is the first Nakshatra in the series of Nakshatras. It indicates the new beginning which emanates from its ruler Ketu, the storehouse of one's Karmik accounts. Ketu has the power of rejuvenation and regeneration which, which is akin to the phoenix rising from the ashes. Jesus, the Christian God, got resurrected after three days of his crucifixion. The principal deity of this Nakshatra Lord Ganesha whose head was severed by Lord Shiva was brought back to life by replacing his head with the head of a baby elephant. So, this Nakshatra represents the power to bring back to life even from death, but you will find that there will be someone else will be sacrificed like the baby elephant for Lord Ganesha. So, those born in this Nakshatra may need a sacrifice at the time of their birth and that sacrifice may be of someone in their family.

Energies of Mars and Ketu manifest in this Nakshatra. Mars being the ruler of the Aries Sign is the reason behind this Nakshatra's initiative, strength, energy, and vitality. It represents determination, endurance, valor, freedom, travel, beauty, majesty, strong sexual urge, free spirit, and self-centric nature. However too much Martian energy if not controlled can create energy explosions.

Sun the ruler of the Solar system gets maximum exaltation in this Nakshatra at 10 degrees which falls at the cusp of 3rd and 4th pada. So this Nakshatra has a  close connection with the  Sun and why not because its principal deity Ashwini Kumars are the son of God Sun. Being the Sons of King, they feel they are born leaders, Number "1" and should be treated as special and in a priority manner. Even Lord Ganesha, the Vighnakartra (the creator of obstacles) as well as Vighnaharta (the destroyer of obstacles) is worshipped first before any rituals are performed so that he may destroy any upcoming obstacles in the task taken.  The subject born in this Nakshatra expects that he should be given priority over others. If that importance is not given, then he becomes a trouble maker rather than a problem solver.

If Ketu, the storehouse of the Karmik account, is benefic then it can make a person King, politician, celebrity, leader, or a sportsperson. If Ketu is aspected by malefic then the energy of this Nakshatra becomes difficult to control or channel resulting in downfall and failures such that, the person can become a criminal, rapist, or terrorist.

About this Book

In an attempt to cover almost everything about this Nakshatra this book has been written. It is based on the information gathered over the years from various mediums, sources, peoples, charts, books, articles or blogs for which I am thankful to all. I have been a student of Astrology for the last 30 years and could not find a complete encyclopedia of any of Nakshatra. So after reading thousands of charts, I decided to consolidate the information and knowledge for every Nakshatra in its entirety. Though I may miss a lot but still making a sincere attempt for the same. This being my first book, I may miss a lot which I will try to cover in my next editions and in subsequent books.

I desire to cover all Nakshatras in my lifetime. In this book, I will cover the mythological story which is the basis of all aspects of this Nakshatra. It may be the Moon, Ascendant, or any planet falling in the Nakshatra which will have bearing on one’s personality, behavior, and life path. What remedies to be done if the energies of this Nakshatra are not going in positive directions have been covered.

Birth data for the celebrities have been taken from internet sites. These sites consider 12.00 as birth time if the exact birth time is not available. It will not make much difference as the Moon changes the Nakahstra in 24 hours and other planets take a longer duration. While considering the Lagna, the exact time is required rest no major difference in the predictions are expected.

I do not authenticate the birth details or any other data except my comments which are based on my experience. In case some variation is there, may pardon me for considering it as my first effort in writing this book. Reading this book may give you an enlightened view of astrology where you will awaken your self-awareness that could possibly change your or other’s life.
