About this ebook

TikTok is a highly creative platform, and it definitely rewards those who often create and post! It's ideal two to three times a day, if you really want to gain popularity on TikTok, you won't cut it once a week. So, in just two months, I've gone from zero to 10K followers!" - Sharn Rayment, multimedia freelance producer.

You definitely have to embrace and commit to using TikTok to the fullest extent possible to create a content backlog for the for-you page. As for younger and older generations, TikTok has democratized creativity and social media.

The app has the highest rate of follower engagement across 100,000 user profiles sampled in an Influencer Marketing Hub online research project. If marketers merely consider it as a "dancing device" and don't change their approach to include TikTok content, they'll be really bitter in a couple of years.

Watching Instagram influencers repurpose Instagram content to TikTok at the start of lockdown shows the polished advertising on this site doesn't wash. We always noticed when Instagram stories came up, there was a trend for shorter, more digestible content. Yet TikTok proves that users can return for more when you get the form of content right.

According to official figures from TikTok, its customers remain faithful and are starting to return to the app. In fact, 90% of users use the app several times a day.

Overall, TikTok is asking us to reconsider the way our content is strategized. I do hope these tips givse you some ideas on how to handle TikTok and the way you prepare and create your content in general.

    Introduction

Are you thinking about becoming the next TikTok star to make money from this hot social media platform? Are you a business owner or a brand manager looking for more traffic to expand your market via TikTok? If your answer is YES to any of the above questions, then keep reading.

It seems that a new social-media platform redefines the way people interact online almost every decade. We can also see videos go viral every day, but recently, a large chunk of them came straight from a single source: TikTok. Yes, TikTok is taking over. Even though not everyone likes it, but no one can deny its popularity.

Not being on TikTok seems to be a HUGE mistake. This platform provides a unique way to make and spread ideas and has become one of the biggest social networks worldwide. There are already 2 billion users who have downloaded TikTok, and it is available in over 200 countries, which means TikTok is a fertile ground for organic reach and paid advertising. It's not uncommon for a TikToker to earn $4000-$5000 per post. Many TikTok influencers are able to make even much more. For example, the college student Addison Rae can make about $15,000 per sponsored post. This is the platform that can help you earn six figures easier than you thought.

If you think TikTok is just for Gen Z, think again. When you explore TikTok, you'll find various brands advertising on it in industries like clothing, e-commerce, streaming, beauty, mobile apps, and many more. You can definitely use this platform to your business's advantage.

Most people think that they can just jump on it and easily get their piece. However, once they try, it seems like they don't have that magic power. No strategy equals a significant loss. Tiktok is no exception to this rule. This is why it's super risky to start without a comprehensive guide to tiktok marketing.

Also, every social media platform has its own unwritten rule. You can break your business if you just ignore them. So how can you succeed on TikTok exactly? How can you attract millions of followers and convert those followers to dollars? How can you make your content go viral and monetize from it?

This is Not a theoretical presentation. This straight-to-the-point book is full of updated knowledge and proven strategies, aiming to help you earn, grow, and automate making money of TikTok. You will get the right roadmap to rapidly grow your TikTok accounts, build your personal brand, expand your business, and make fruitful marketing efforts.

    History and Features of TikTok

One of the most critical criteria for internet marketing, indeed, any form of marketing, is that you approach the kinds of individuals you expect to become your clients. With influencer marketing, you have to take a step back and focus on the people who appeal to and influence the behavior of your target customers. When you're marketing to a young audience, you might start partnering with TikTok influencers.

Unlike YouTube, the most significant aspect of TikTok is posting videos. So, any TikTok influencer marketing campaign will revolve around influencers making, sharing, and sometimes live streaming videos that will somehow promote your brand and make it attractive to their followers.

    TikTok's Evolution

Douyin was launched by ByteDance in China in September 2016, originally under the name of A.me, before being rebranded as Douyin in December 2016. ByteDance intended to extend Douyin overseas. ByteDance's ceo, Zhang Yiming, said, China is home to only one-fifth of Internet users worldwide. If we don't spread internationally, we're likely to lose out to peers aiming at the four-fifths. So, going global is a must. Douyin was created in 200 days and 100 million users in a year, with more than one billion videos watched every day. TikTok was released on the international market in September 2017. On 23 January 2018, the TikTok app ranked No. 1 among free software downloads from software stores in Thailand and other countries.

TikTok has been downloaded nearly 80 million times in the United States and 800 million times worldwide, according to data from mobile analytics company Sensor Tower, which excludes Smartphone users in China. Several actors, including Jimmy Fallon and Tony Hawk, began using the program in 2018. Many celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Will Smith, and Justin Bieber have joined TikTok, and several more celebrities participated.

On 3 September 2019, TikTok and the National Football League of the United States (NFL) announced a multi-year relationship. The deal was just two days shy of the NFL's 100th season kick-off at the Soldier stadium, where TikTok hosted fans' activities in honor of the deal. The collaboration includes the introduction of an official NFL TikTok channel that will give rise to additional marketing strategies, such as endorsed content and hashtag challenges.

    The musical fusion

On 9 November 2017, TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, spent up to $1 billion on the purchase of musical.ly, a startup based in Shanghai with an office in Santa Monica, California. Musical.ly was a social media video site that allowed users to make brief lip-sync and comedy videos, initially launched in August 2014. It was well known, particularly to younger audiences. Looking forward to exploiting the US streaming platform's young user base, TikTok merged with musical.only on August 2, 2018 to create a greater content network, with existing profiles and data combined into one app, dubbed TikTok. It finished musical.ly and made TikTok a worldwide device, except for China, as China has Douyin.

    Expansion to other countries

As of 2018, TikTok has been made available in more than 150 countries and 75 languages. TikTok was uploaded to Apple's App Store more than 104 million times during the entire first half of 2018, according to data presented by Sensor Tower to CNBC. It exceeded Twitter, YouTube and Instagram to become the most downloaded iOS device in the world. A fascinating thing to remember is that while most Instagram users have a college degree, TikTok's main demographic is under 18. Compared to Instagram influencers, TikTok influencers have gained attention for their entertaining videos. Many Instagram influencers are seen to excessively edit their images
