About this ebook
Cannabis is not only smoked! Discover in this ebook the different methods for administration and dosage.
Consumption of cannabis in humanity began more than 4000 years ago. The first registered experience about its therapeutic use was in the classical pharmacopoeia, transcribed by the legendary founder of Chinese medicine, the Red Emperor Sheng Nung, in the 2.737 B.C; It was then when cannabis was adopted as an effective plan for reducing rheumatic pain, cold, menstrual and digestive disorders. Subsequently the use of the plant was entrenched in the East and progressively entered in western medicine, where it began to be used due to the therapeutic effects of relieving several symptoms and diseases.
The plant might be considered a great production machine. It’s been reported that its flowers synthesized more that one hundred exclusive compounds -known as phytocannabinoids- besides a great number of terpenes and flavonoids (which also have therapeutic properties), polyphenols, amino acids, among others; reaching the production of more than 400 different chemical compounds. Is well known that the highest psychoactive substance present in cannabis is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Between the effects this cannabinoid produces is relaxation, euphoria or sense of well-being and palliative possibilities, by cannabidiol (CBD) help, highlighting this last one for its therapeutic but no significantly psychoactive properties; so that it has been of much interest in studies and therapeutic applications.
In addition, it is impossible not to mention the particular response of each person to the administration of cannabis or its derivatives. The effectiveness of the dose is wide-ranging and will depend on the patient, variability and composition of cannabis, the administration method and other factors; obtaining as result diverse reactions in each person even with the same pathologies. So, this effectiveness will depend mostly on the physiology and health of the affected, meaning that a healthier person may need lower doses for a better balance, meanwhile a person with compromised health may need a higher one.
It has been stated that any substance may be toxic in a dose high enough. Users of cannabis derivatives, like THC, have to start their administration slowly, until they reach the ideal dose. On their behalf, many patients can reach high doses of CBD without any detrimental effect on their bodies. To use cannabis in an effective way, you must consult a specialist who can establish, through appropriate criteria the respective dosage.

Several studies report that medical cannabis has benefits for various types of diseases and symptomatologies. DOSAGE OF MEDICAL CANNABIS
The dosage of cannabis is an aspect that has caused controversy to this day, as it is not possible to standardize a specific amount of cannabis for a particular pathology or condition, but through the customization of the dosage used in the patient based on titration of the dose. There are no precise doses or set dosing schedules for fresh cannabis, vaporized cannabis, or cannabis oil. Dosing remains highly individualized and relies heavily on titration, i.e., finding the correct dose where the expected therapeutic effects are potentiated while minimizing adverse or harmful effects. Let's learn a little about the minimum effective dose.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON CANNABIS
Cannabis has been related to man since ancient times, the consumption and use of the plant began more than 4000 B.C. The first record of the therapeutic use of cannabis was in the classical pharmacopeia transcribed by the legendary founder of Chinese medicine: the Red Emperor Sheng Nung in the year 2,737 B.C., when he described in this pharmacopeia, the usefulness of cannabis to reduce pain due to rheumatism, colds, menstrual disorders, and digestive disorders. Medical publications related to the use of cannabis began between 1840 and 1900, a period in which more than 100 articles were published (an extremely high number for the time), and the plant was recommended for the treatment of different diseases. However, the use of cannabis presented many social, economic, political, and religious controversies, which led to its criminalization at the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1997, the
