Ijolt awake from my nap, the bed vibrating. Not again.

Now, if that handsome tree nymph, Bello, I met a couple Christmases ago did the waking... Yes, again. I moan. I was dreaming of him.

Oh, you’re awake, Sis. Raina continues to shake her foot back and forth, annoyingly quaking the mattress. She huffs. "I’m so bored."

I’ve been sharing my bed with my teenage sister for the last few months. Not the bed companion I prefer, but after she ran away from her Immortal World home, I couldn’t turn her away.

The other bedroom is full with my not-so-giant giant best friend, Syndago, and the two fairy twits, Tamor and Tamara. And Raina refuses to sleep on the couch. Prima donna teen sea nymph.

School? Yes, school. That’s the ticket. I roll over and close my eyes, hoping she’ll leave me alone so I can return to my dreamy tree nymph’s arms.

Raina scoffs and increases the shaking. Grinka, it’s spring break.

Oh no, she’s calling me by my given name. A telltale sign she’s shifting from prima donna to drama llama.

If you’d just let me go out and have some fun. That whine, perfected since toddlerhood. And my parents always give in to it.

Not me. Nope. If I’m responsible for her, I’m not about to let her go gallivanting around New York City on her own.
