Gloria has experienced many of the pitfalls and challenges that come with starting a business and therefore, has had countless opportunities to quit and make excuses. However, this book shows all of the various methods she employs to overcome and avoid these challenges while providing you with the necessary insights to do the same in your own ventures.
Along with being a strong and successful businesswoman, Gloria is also a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a sister. She provides multiple perspectives and explains how to navigate each of them, whilst never losing sight of the primary objective.
Despite some personal and professional trials along the way, this book is an absolute unmitigated success story. It doesn't just start with £90 and end in millions, either. There are mentions of other small victories, successes, and joys to be found among these pages. These anecdotes were vital to making Gloria the person she is today and awakening her inner boss. She is also a rather brave and adventurous woman, so you can be sure that she has explored more than one avenue to achieving her goals. Expect a diversity of strategies, viewpoints, and perspectives.
"The faculties needed to start a business, such as learning new things and adapting to ever-changing markets, are ageless and virtually universal".
Although Gloria started out as a young novice, she has gained over a decade of experience and continues waxing strong to this day; so, when she says that `If I could do it, it stood to reason that anyone else could as well, you know she means it. She's been there, done that, come, seen, and conquered. Now, she wants to share how possible and accessible business actually is, despite how daunting and prohibitive it can appear. It turns out that it's all about your mindset, a lesson that Gloria picked up from as early as age six and one which has served her very well over the years. Want to know more? Wake Up Your Inner Boss - Gloria Ochelli
FOREWORD
As somebody who has been fortunate to have witnessed sections of the latter part of this story, I can confirm that Gloria’s grit and determination is here for all to see.
Gloria is somebody that I have been lucky enough to deal with as a friend, a customer and an excellent sounding board since early 2016 - and when I was asked to write the foreword for this book, I was extremely honoured.
This is an excellent and important guide for somebody attempting to build a business from scratch. It’s reassuring nature and documented decision making of going from £90 to Seven-Figures is something that should inspire all like-minded people.
This book is a testament to Gloria and Michael’s drive and sheer will to succeed. The multiple successes and failures that all small business owners experience can be a step too far for some, but Gloria continues to do business with a smile on her face and in the forthright, fair and confident manner she always has.
The determination with which she drives her business forward daily is something that I, as well as all current and future business owners, can learn a huge amount from.
Gloria - I wish you all the best.

INTRODUCTION
An inspirational book loaded with practical ideas, experiences and strategies of how I started and grew my business, which I hope will inspire you to believe that nothing is impossible and equip you with the tools to wake up your inner boss.
The goal of writing this book is to inspire an inexperienced person to become a business owner, no matter who they are.
From my experience, most people think that starting a business is a complex thing to do. They think entrepreneurs are the people with brilliant ideas, big plans, distinctive strategies, and who have a cadre of resources. Most people think that regular folk with common ideas and low resources cannot own a big business. This book is about a regular person, who decided to start a business in the simplest way possible.
CHAPTER 1
But Who Is Gloria?
Here’s a little story set in the 1970s; of how Mr Benson Omugbe and Miss Queen Eferaha met in a small town called Ozoro, located in the southern part of Nigeria. The young man was a handsome looking 5ft 11" 26-year-old with a well-kept afro. The lady was a beautiful, but shy 19-year-old with sparkling eyes. They had both been introduced by a mutual friend who thought they would make a good match. After some time and multiple ‘first dates’, the timing finally felt right for them. The wedding date was set and they began the rest of their lives together.
In 1980 they gave birth to their first-born daughter, a fussy but cheerful and cuddlesome child who loved her mum and dad. That was me, jolly little Gloria. In the early years of my life, we lived in a two-bedroom apartment in the cosmopolitan city of Warri, a major hub for petroleum activity and business in southern Nigeria.
The apartment was compact and well maintained, offering low maintenance living that newlyweds could afford; perfect for a family of three.
When I was three years of age, we moved into a housing estate built by the company for whom my dad worked as an Electrical Engineer. By this point, my mum had become a dynamic entrepreneur, who undertook different businesses to support her husband financially.
She acquired quite the range of small businesses over the years, from selling logs of wood and building materials for the property development industry, to selling organic food items to individual vendors and clothing items in her local shop. From what I can recall, she was always looking for business opportunities where she could be the middle-woman who would offer services and oversee the completion of various business deals. To this day, she has never worked for anyone person or company all her life, rather preferring to be the one in charge; the Boss. She would constantly be on the go, going out of her way for everyone, a giving woman who was rather selfless in her approach to life. Her smile and laughter were very infectious which I believe went a long way to clenching those final deals.
Little did I know, that this was how I would begin to learn entrepreneurial skills; from my mum.
I was 7 years of age on my first venture. I remember wanting to be just like my mum. My little mind was always thinking of ways to be creative and make some money. I had always enjoyed ice lollies and my inquisitive mind wanted to learn how these were made using what we already had at home. Back then, there was no internet or YouTube so instead, I started by asking questions, gathering as much information from everyone who would listen; until I got the recipe and figured out how to make these ice lollies myself. Feeling excited, I dashed into the kitchen and began production. I followed the recipe to a ‘T’, really wanting to make the best Ice Lollies that I could! I was really thrilled to be able to make ice lollies from the natural, sweet juice of simple, fresh oranges. They were vibrant, handpicked and freshly squeezed, contained no added sugar and were free from artificial flavours or colourings. I got the first batch into the freezer and as soon as they were ready, I ventured out to sell them to all my friends and family. It filled me with joy to
