What in the world is this?
Sunny Squirrel hunched over to peer through the knothole of Squiggy and Snowy’s family nest in the big oak tree. His eyes opened wide with wonder as he stared at a wee white-furred creature curled up and asleep.
Yes, please tell us,
frowned Scrappy, his twin brother.
Well, my sons, this is your new baby sister,
Squiggy explained proudly, his eyes twinkling. Now that you’re grown and planning to build your own nests, ours felt empty.

Son, we cannot always have what we want. But you can call her Sissy whenever you wish.
Squiggy said as he looked down lovingly at the tiny baby.
Sunny decided then and there he’d always take good care of this special little sister, no matter what she was called: Sweety, Sugar, Sissy, or Suzy."
Angrily fussing and fuming, Scrappy started to stomp off. Squiggy said, Now don’t get into mischief because you’re mad.

Squiggy winked.
