Introduction

I have this theory that sometimes our souls becomes trapped by our hearts. Our hearts attach themselves to people and situations that literally suffocate our souls. In order for our souls to break free, the thing that must break first is our hearts. 

Katie met Kenny on one of the best days of her life. Katie had just turned 22 years old. Katie woke up that morning to breakfast in bed and a dozen roses, with each rose wrapped in hundred dollar bill. Katie was so happy to have her two besties, Tisha and Rosalinda.  The perfect trio as they called themselves. Tisha and Katie knew each other their whole lives but were exact opposites. Katie was girlie, bubbly, and extreme outgoing. Tisha was very reserved, stoic, and conservative. But Tisha and Katie were inseparable. Rosalinda was newer to the trio, she had a very rambunctious and feisty personality. Katie felt happier than ever to wake up on her girl’s trip in Miami to being spoiled by her two besties. Katie’s day only got better because she got surprise birthday money from her besties and she met who she considered to be the finest man on earth , Kenny.
