How To Host A Webinar - The Ultimate Guide To Running A Successful Webinar - Gene Shelton

    Introduction

In recent years, webinars have become one of the most popular ways to promote a business. They are so effective because they provide a breadth of information that other media forums do not, and attendees receive real-time information delivered directly to them, not to mention the interactivity of question-and-answer sessions.

Webinars are among the top three content delivery methods available, according to the Adobe Software blog.

If you are reading this book and are unfamiliar with the term webinar, it is a method of communicating with a group through a specific platform, with the ability to share information such as voice, text, slides, multimedia, and more. Webinar is a play on the word seminar, because that is essentially what a webinar is – a seminar for the internet.

To use a webinar to promote your business, you must first understand the secrets of a successful webinar. This book will help you put on a successful webinar by emphasizing the most important concepts. According to SlideShare, interesting content and a passionate speaker are the elements that engage 70 percent of people the most.

This book will help you become a more passionate and engaging speaker, as well as develop your idea to host the best webinar possible. In addition, we will go over important webinar concepts such as the equipment you will need, mastering Q&As, working with co-organizers, hiring staff, and much more.

There are three sections in this book. The first section will go over what you need to do prior to the start of your webinar. The second section contains information you will need to begin your webinar as well as events that will occur during it. Finally, the third section will go over what happens after your webinar and how you can start planning for the next one.

Each section will go over the topics of webinars in depth, and by the end, you will be able to confidently prepare for and hold a webinar.

Chapter 1: The Tools Of The Trade

You will need some tools in order to run a successful webinar. Certain pieces of hardware and software are required to host a successful webinar, and knowing what they are and how to use them correctly will help you become a better webinar host.

    Your Internet connection

Begin with your internet connection. This is a critical aspect of webinars because your data will be streamed to dozens or hundreds of people, and you don't want that data to drop out at inconvenient times. It's not good for business.

As a result, make sure your internet connection is super-fast, at least 10 mbps, and that you use a wired connection. Don't connect via Wi-Fi because it is much more unstable than a LAN connection. This means you'll have to hold the webinar at your home or office, where you'll have access to the model and a LAN cable that will allow you to connect directly.

If necessary, you can use Wi-Fi, but keep in mind that your data may not always reach all of your attendees. Most of the time, people will tell you that they didn't hear you or understand the last concept you were discussing, but if this happens too frequently to a large
