Imagine for a moment that an epidemic, a world war or a super event such as an eruption of the volcano under Yellowstone National Park has taken place. In the aftermath, few people have survived and all of those people are struggling to maintain their health and wellbeing on a day by day basis.
It’s not hard to imagine – that, after all, is why you have picked up this book. You know all too well that the human race faces more potential disasters than we can count, ranging in severity from a localized incident such as an earthquake to a species destroying apocalypse. A doctor in the apocalypse will be worth their weight in gold to the survivors around them.
