How Much More

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13

GOD IS SUPER WILLING to give us the Holy Spirit. All God wants to see is our earnest desire to have Him. No Christian experience has begun without the Holy Spirit. We should desire Him greatly, but we don’t have to beg God for Him. We should wait for Him not giving up too soon. We should tarry without distraction knowing that once we have Him, nothing shall be impossible for us.

In the text above God compares us with Himself. If we being human and fundamentally evil yet think to give our kids the best of things, why should we expect less of God? The good and the best gift in life is the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Lord. The reason a lot of people have not received the Holy Spirit is because they are either nonchalant or have very little understanding of the need for Jesus. If we seek Him as though our lives depend on Him [and it truly does] we will soon find the authentic indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If you notice, the only condition to receive is to ask. ‘…your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him…’

7. I pray father that You take away from me any form of complacency and replace it with tenacity to follow the Holy Spirit.

Mon. JANUARY 3

The Supernatural Help of The Holy Spirit

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you] John 16:7[AMP]

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS an abundant life – The life of unlimited possibilities. It is however not realistic without the supernatural assistance of the Holy Spirit. That is why Jesus said it is expedient that ‘I go away’, He also said the Helper would come. A helper is someone stronger or mightier than you. We are not talking about help in the category of maids or men servant. A helper like an Angel. Only, the Holy Spirit is mightier than the angel - He is the creator of Angels. The coming of the Holy Ghost is of the utmost and immediate advantage to us. He is our Helper. He is here to help us do the great things God expects of us. He is here to help us live the holy and larger than ordinary life the world expects we believers to live. When people look at us, they should see a mighty difference between us and the world. The early Apostles were labeled ‘Christ-like’ by the world. If we are ever failing it is because the ministry of the Holy Spirit is lacking in us.

11. I pray and engage the Holy Spirit’s help for a year of supernatural achievement in Jesus’ name.

12. I pray that every humanistic spirit, - the spirit that says ‘I can do it myself’ - may it be driven out of me in Jesus’ name.

13. I receive the mindset that cooperate with the Holy Ghost for a year of unlimited possibilities in Jesus’ name.

14. I pray for the help for ‘attract-ability’ and acceptability

15. I pray God launch me by power of the Holy Spirit into the supernatural life in Jesus’ name.

Tue. JANUARY 4

You Shall Receive Power

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

THE EMPHASIS HERE is power. We live in a powerless world. All scientific paraphernalia is geared towards augmenting our power needs. Man don’t have power over sickness; man don’t stand a chance with death. No matter how hard he fights, ultimately, he dies. He is limited in so many ways. But Jesus made the difference; He brought us the gospel of power. He, Himself demonstrated this power. Alleluia!

Scriptures tells us that Jesus was anointed with Holy Ghost and POWERActs 10:38 The scriptures say on the basis of this power Jesus exercised dominion over devils. There will be oppositions; demonic opposition but through the power of the Holy Spirit you will be able to overcome them. It does not matter what is against you or what your needs may be as long as you have the power of the Holy Spirit you will overcome.

God knows we need power to cut through the barriers of life. Without this power the devil will make a casualty of us.

17. I pray against all discouragement in my pursuit of His presence

18. Lord God show me how weak I am without the Holy Spirit and prevail upon my soul

20. Lord, purge my conscience of every doctrine that teaches against the gifts of the Holy Ghost

Wed. JANUARY 5

Manifestation Of The Spirit For Profit

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1 Corinthians 12:7

GOD WANTS US TO profit. Though we have received Christ, and we are good people so to speak, without the manifestation of the Holy Spirit we are not going to be able to see the glories of our faith. I like the word ‘manifestation’ it implies that the Holy Spirit can be in us howbeit, in a somewhat docile unannounced posture. When He makes His presence known we say He has manifested through us.

The Spirit comes on us, the Spirit also manifests through us. He manifests as various gifts of the Spirit. That is how people can tell that the Spirit is upon us. Think of how advantaged you are, just to have the Spirit and others don’t. It is one thing to be brought out of bondage. It is another thing to be brought into the promised land. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is a continuation of Jesus ministry – It brings us out into the promised land. And that is when we truly begin to enjoy our Christianity.

23. Lord manifest your glory through me. Help me to operate in the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repent And Receive It

ON WHAT CONDITION CAN we receive the Holy Spirit? On the condition that we repent. Repentance means to change our ways. It does not immediately mean to turn away from sin. How can you turn away from sin if you do not have the Holy Spirit? It does however mean that you turn from what you believe to be the prescribed way. A lot of people have philosophies they believe in. They live their lives based on these philosophies. They are governed by the wisdom of men. Sometimes they are simply motivational principles found on YouTube. In other cases, they are values of life derives from science. These are what
