    DEDICATION

This study guide is dedicated to the God of great Grace and Mercy, Jesus Christ the gracious, powerful, steadfast, God’s only Son, the sinner’s Savior, the captive’s Ransom, the breath of life, the Cornerstone of creation, the Ancient of days. The way, the truth and life. May the Holy Spirit reveal Jesus to you in His fullness. Amen.

    PREFACE

The purpose of this study guide is to reinforce the understanding of the book GRACE FOR LIVING. It is hoped that the reader will choose to receive the gift of grace, apply grace to every aspect of living and enjoy the biblical principles of grace through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.

God desires that all be saved. John 3:16 spells it out: For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoso ever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. When God saves, He gives all the necessary gifts for a successful and victorious Christian life. The problem is that we try to live a spiritual life by physical means in our own effort. This approach is frustrating, and can only lead to repeated struggles and failures. God never intended for us to live the Christian life by our own strength. He gave us the Holy Spirit.

Before Jesus left the world, He instructed His disciples to gather in Jerusalem and await the promise of the Holy Spirit our enabler, for grace. He is the God of all Grace. Because the disciples were empowered by the Holy Spirit, they were able to live a life of grace. They turned the world around them upside down for God in a good way. They had many challenges but they overcame by Grace. LIVING A LIFE OF GRACE does not mean that there will not be obstacles but the Holy Spirit guides us through them, gives grace to overcome. It is no surprise that the Apostle Paul opens and closes his letters and epistles with the salutation of grace. It is my prayer that the Lord God Almighty will open the eyes of your understanding to receive grace for living, in Jesus’ name Amen.

God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone. He gave us the Holy Spirit as our supernatural strengthener, enabler, and helper to live the life of dominion in this physical experience. The person of the HOLY SPIRIT is central to living by grace. The Holy Spirit is the power that raised Jesus from the dead and if God has giving Him to us, to help us, He knows we need Him. We cannot afford to live without Him. The Holy Spirit is the power that graces the Christian to live a successful life. He transforms our knowledge of Jesus Christ into an encounter with Him(Jesus). When we are plugged into the Holy Spirit frequency, we experience the needed flow of grace to live successfully. The Holy Spirit is our key to living a life of grace.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the God head. He ushered in the age of the church at Pentecost… and never left. He lives inside every believer. How much of Him is in operation is how much you allow Him to operate. He will not impose Himself on us… . . When His presence is removed, He will take the church, the body of Christ with Him. There will be no restraint on the evil one. You do not want to be here then. We cannot do without the Holy Spirit. These are some of the reasons why we cannot.

    He restrains the devil.

HE GIVES US UNDERSTANDING OF THE BIBLE,

We have the hope of the expectation of the return of Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.

Without the Holy Spirit we would be nothing. Incomparable to none other, do not leave home without Him.

In John 14:16, Jesus Christ promised the disciples of the HELPER. This was a period of spiritual tension. Jesus was going away, Judas will betray, Peter will deny, but in the midst of all the spiritual down time. God gave them the promise of the Holy Spirit.

I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.

He is the Spirit of truth.

That is the introduction to the gentle Spirit of the most High God, the Holy Spirit Himself. The Holy Spirit is a divine person. He is a real person, Roman’s 8:27,1st Corinthians 2:10-11. He knows the mind of God.

And He that searches the hearts knows what is in the mind of the Spirit because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

‘Even the things of God no man knows but the Spirit of God’ Rom 8:27

We need the Holy Spirit. HE IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS AND CAN ALIGN US WITH THE WILL OF GOD. Befriend Him, adore Him, exalt Him, appreciate Him, glorify Him, Magnify Him. He can be grieved, but do not grieve Him. Ephesians 4: 30. He has emotions, only persons express emotions. He is a person. Get to know Him intimately. His thoughts are intelligible to others. Acts 13:2.

As they ministered and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work where unto, I have called them.

He is a person. Know Him, love Him. He is the Spirit of Grace.

In John 14:17, we are called into an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. When you meet the person of the Holy Spirit, then you have access to the His power (grace) to live. Don’t seek the power before you meet the person of the Holy Spirit. You can know Him, relate to Him as a person and He will empower you to be all that God created you to be. He is divine. Until He set the order in the beginning, God did not speak. Check out Genesis 1:1-3

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form and void. Darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the deep. Until the Spirit moved, God the Father did not speak.

He, the Holy Spirit. is omniscient, He knows all things. If you remember this as a Christian, it will be hard to sin and if you do sin, you will be quick to repent. I John 1:9 tells us He is just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of our unrighteousness. He knows all things. Isaiah 40:13, 1st Corinthians 2:2.

He is Omnipresent, No one can hide from Him. Psalm 139:7. He is all powerful, Omnipotent. Job 33:4, psalm 104:30. Read Isaiah 6:9,Acts 28:29, Jeremiah31: 31-34, Hebrews 10:15-17. He is a divine person. His ministry is to lead us to Jesus. He the Holy Spirit, progressively conforms us to the image of Christ. He sanctifies us.1st Peter 3:15.

No one can say Jesus is Lord except the Holy Spirit enables. We cannot begin a life of grace without Him. We cannot live a life of grace without Him. The Holy Spirit will bring you to all truths. John 14:17. You cannot be deceived. He comes as the river of Life. He comes as a gentle breeze. He comes as the wind and carries with Him great power. He may come as fire and yet the gentle dove is a symbol of His gentle Spirit. He is the actual breath of God. He is our enabler. He is our helper. He is an ever present helper. You must not go on the journey of life alone. Know the person of the Holy Spirit. Have an intimate relationship with Him. Allow Him to help you. You can then enjoy the life of grace without Him and you do not have to live a life of struggle. We don’t have to learn the hard way. You don’t have to do it alone.

Allowing the Holy Spirit to help you is priceless. He is kind, gentle, merciful, yet strong and mighty. When I was in school, I learnt to receive the Holy Spirit as the one who brings to your remembrance all that you need to know. John 14:26. He guides the way I study. He did not let me waste time on
