A Primer for the Venus Phenomenon

The Venus Phenomenon is a name given to a worldwide transmutation anomaly that occurs when the planet Venus is at its nearest distance to Earth, which happens about once every 584 days. During the event, men around the globe suddenly and painlessly gain the physical likeness—excluding certain facial features—of the adult woman who is nearest in proximity. Chances of being affected are about one in five hundred, or around 0.2%. Those affected will retain their changes until the next cycle begins.

The process has shown no favoritism. Guys may transform into doppelgängers of their blood relatives, their teachers, their coworkers, their partners, or even complete strangers. This duplication effect is also accompanied by sporadic memories from the original woman. Memories may appear and disappear throughout the cycle, or depending on the synchronicity.

The acquired physical traits and memories may be referred to as echoes.

Synchronicity is a value of parallelism between the original woman and the affected male. Victims of the Venus Phenomenon are encouraged to wear watch-like synchronometers, which display a live value of synchronicity, calibrated as a scale from 0-100. This value may fluctuate throughout the 584-day cycle. Increasing or decreasing values indicate increasing or decreasing likeness, respectively. The typical side effects are as follows:

0-50: A value of 50 denotes perfect physical likeness. Although rare, any values below 50 may result in a hybridized appearance. Guys may recover their sexual organs, body hair patterns, voice, and other minor physical traits. Values ranging between 50-75 are the most common.

60-75: In thisadvancedstage of synchronicity, the vast majority of guys report experiencing concurrent memories and emotions, and mimicking some behavior of the original woman. For instance, a guy who shares the appearance of his own girlfriend may 'remember' which pair of underwear she put on that morning. If she smokes, he may imitate the habit. If she becomes aroused, he will also experience the state of arousal. He will also be able to remember some of her lifelong memories.

76-90: Thestrongstage of synchronicity is by far more disruptive. Guys may find the clothes on their body transforming with no warning. Makeup and jewelry may appear. If they had begun adopting a new hairstyle, it could potentially change back to match the original woman's. Others have reported food appearing in their mouth and a higher frequency of copycatting behavior. Likewise, more memories and emotions are shared between the two. Guys may not only feel sexual attraction to whom the original woman is attracted to, but also experience an entire overhaul to their sexual orientation.

91-100: Thecriticalstage of synchronicity is exceedingly rare. Above 91, the original woman's identity will begin to take over the affected mind. A value of 100, although theoretical, represents perfect duplication, with the affected male achieving exact physical resemblance and personality likeness. For all intents and purposes, he is a perfect clone and completely unaware of who he originally was.

Fortunately, the end of the Venus Phenomenon cycle removes all mental effects with the physical, except for some memories which may be permanently retained.
