      The day was done. In fact, it was already dark outside.

      The janitors were finishing their rounds throughout the fifteen story building. A few lights were on, visible from the streets below.

      Erica Malone logged out of her computer and slipped out of her black and gold Jimmy Choo shoes and into her silver and black Nike’s She breathed a sigh of relief. It was Wednesday, 7:37 PM, the beginning of a long Thanksgiving weekend.

      Erica gathered all of her stuff and headed away from her desk. She pulled out her smart phone and fumbled around with it, checking emails and notifications. She walked over to the elevators and pressed the button to go down from the fourteenth floor.

      She entered the first elevator that opened and was surprised to find Lucius Rollins on the elevator, briefcase firmly grasped in his hand. She knew Lucius very well even though they worked on different floors of the building. She smiled at him. Hi.

      He returned it.
