    The second practice is to create an inspiring vision for the team to want to achieve. Leaders must first examine every possibility for the team’s goals and strategy. Then they need to communicate the resulting vision within the framework of the team’s values. Team engagement depends on a leader’s ability to make the vision seem achievable and desirable.

    The third practice is for leaders to innovate on the systems that the team uses. They should seek new ideas through unfamiliar challenges or by researching the ideas of team members and competitors. Most importantly, these ideas should
