INTRODUCTION
You probably have been considering writing a book for some time and the reasons why you have not started yet, are more than just not knowing where to start. Perhaps you don’t know if what you want to write about will be worthy or you still need to do some research or you are just unsure about the title and the ending or something in-between. Or you want to write about something very personal and you are not sure yet if you want to share all of your personal information with the world. Writing is very personal, it is also introspective, and a lonely activity. It forces you to bring out thoughts and rethink issues and relive them.
Or you need to become more creative so you can plot a storyline and an interesting ending. Writing forces the writer to get out of their own comfort zone. But the beauty is that you will learn things and you will definitely gather different perspectives along the way.
If you have many concerns, fear not, it is not impossible to write books and it is certainly not that complicated. I have done it many times and I will take you through all the steps from your very first thought to where you end up publishing and marketing your book.
If you have all the information ready but you really are not interested in writing your book by yourself, get a ghost-writer to do it for you. I will go into that option when the matter comes up later.
For now, read along and fill in the missing spaces in your project and become inspired to put your thoughts onto paper or get typing. I don’t know if people still write books by hand – it could be a very ‘expensive’ process if you loose all your handwritten pages on the way to the publisher! But I do not want to complicate things. We need to write in the style we are comfortable in. If that is sitting under a tree with a notepad and a pencil, then you have to do it that way. I know that some people still like to work with typewriters, especially the older or antique ones, as that brings out their creative juices!. Writing is definitely an art and it is all about creativity, so you need to do what you need to do to get your book finished in the way that works for YOU.
We can all write books or at least we all have a story to tell. If you want to share your story, there are many ways to do that. You can write a self-help book, a novel, or a play. You can blog or start a Podcast or sell articles to magazines.
Perhaps your book is written but you need some final editing and you are not sure where to take it from there on to the end. I will cover all the steps and provide links to further information and training should you require guidance to finish your book.
WHY WRITE A BOOK?
If you are still reading, you must have your own reasons for
