ARIZONA
ALTA Conference
Virtual, April-November. The 45th annual ALTA Conference will be held virtually with sessions each month, with the theme “Values.” Two Thursdays each month feature panels and/or roundtables. Bilingual readings will take place the last Tuesday of each month, followed by a social hour. Workshops will take place in August. Pitch sessions will also take place in September. Check the event website for special programming throughout September and October.

CALIFORNIA
La Jolla Writer’s Conference
San Diego, Nov. 4-6. Learn about the art, craft, and business of writing with lectures and workshops. Offers approximately 80 classes. Faculty includes authors, agents, publishers, and publicists.

Litquake
San Francisco, October 6-22. The largest independent literary festival on the West Coast, this multi-day event includes panel discussions, cross-media events, and hundreds of readings, plus the now-famous Lit Crawl through the Mission District.
