When Wandalin Mniszech fought with honors in the army of Charlemagne for seven years, he added six more ostrich feathers to his coat of arms. Around 1550 Mikolaj Mniszech came to Poland from Groß-Konczyc near Freistad in Bohemia and stayed there. In Poland, only the Mniszech have this coat of arms.
