D Success Secrets of Great Achievers
()
About this ebook
D Success Secrets of achievers teaches that if you want to bring success into your life and be a blessing to many, you should do it as Christ did and you should cultivate it just as you would cultivate a garden for the best yield.
The attributes here are shared by successful people everywhere, but they didn't happen by accident or luck. They originated in habits, built a day at a time. Consider – They were habitually cultivated overtime.
They had a burning desire to accomplish greatness with their gift and talent, they fought and paid the price till they became what they passionately desired. In simple terms, this book reveals that desire conceives success and birth achievements. It is the fuel for success.
This book demonstrates that successful people gave their time, attention, and entire self to achieve their desired aim or goal. It agrees with Karen Yvonne`s theory that dedication takes passion, commitment, and continually striving to improve oneself.
This book brings to light that Christ was the most determined man who has ever lived. Christ overcame difficult challenges to bring salvation and redemption to creation. He was firm in His commitment to do the will of His Father who sent Him, not considering what He had to go through to achieve His purpose. He was determined to see it done.
This book shows that discipline is the habit all must adopt to be successful, because it is a crucial element in the quest for success in gifts and talents, as it eases stress and focuses your efforts.
This book teaches that if Christ had to be diligent or work hard to achieve His aim or goals, we are expected to do likewise. It also revealed that for one to become an authority in his calling or gift, he or she must pay the price of diligence and hard work. It also demonstrated that success does not come by wishing or on silver plate, but through continuous hard work and painstaking efforts to obtain the gold.
This book proves that if you do not decide concerning what you want and where you want to be, someone else will, and you may not be happy after that. It also reveals that firm, wise decisions can make the difference between success and failure, prosperity or austerity.
Furthermore, it teaches that when you make decisions about your ambitions and visions you take the driving seat, you take charge and full control, you do not leave things to chance or fate, you drive yourself to where you want to be in life and what you want.
This book inspires us to dream and keep dreaming and revealed every great person who achieved success started his or her journey by first dreaming. They worked their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.
It also challenges us to be daring by quoting Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook who said, " In a world that's changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks,"

here are a myriad of definitions of defining success, but Dr. Samuel Lartey has put together a masterpiece in writing
Success Secrets of Great Achievers.
Dr. Lartey illustrates his point by examining the lives of different individuals in a wide-range occupation ; politicians, professional athletes, entrepreneurs and some of the most respected and influential religious leaders of today’s time.
In the introduction of his book Dr. Lartey mentions three things that I believe are vital to anyone being successful in any area or arena of life. First, he attributes all greatness and successes to God and to His grace. Secondly, it is the deliberate effort and time by the individual continually invested or spent on developing his or her gifts and talents. Thirdly, one need
to adopt what he calls the art of Deliberate Practice.
The sad truth about most of us who claim we want to achieve success with our gifts and calling is that in practice we do not desire success, we have just engaged ourselves in the wishing and wanting game.
This is a statement that only you can answer. Throughout the book you will find scriptures, stories and examples that will not only inspire you but challenge you as well.
Dr. Lartey has done a marvelous job for and to the Body of Christ by writing this book for our edification. My prayer is that we will take the time to read it, meditate on it and allow God to speak to us. Why? Because, I believe this from the Dream
section, God has a bigger plan and vision for everyone, they are always being transported into our hearts as dreams. He placed them in our hearts in the form of ideas, ambitions, aspirations or images about the future. But that should not be the destination they have to be birthed through disciplined actions and diligence. Dreams are valuable commodities that should not be taken lightly.
Bishop Albert L. Downing
Preface
hen I was about 11 years, I accompanied my mother to sell in a big bus company in my city. Upon
arrival, we were met by the managing director of the company with whom she exchanged pleasantries. Soon after, my mother turned to me and said, I want you to study, work hard and be somebody like him in future
. Those words stayed with me for a long time, even as a child. I ultimately came to understand that to become successful in life, one must pay the price for it. In the year 2015, my father-in-law came to visit us when he came, he shared wisdom with us about ‘My 20-Year Personal Development Plan’ by Dr Mensa-Otabil.
When he finished pouring his heart out to my wife and I learnt that whatever happens, we must take up the challenge to plan for our future if we wanted to be successful. My father-in-
law emphasized that Whether you plan for the future or not, the future will become your reality in time. Take time to carefully plan ahead
. This gave me another clue about some of the success secrets in life.
One of the central claims in the success secrets
is that people choose to be successful. This means that many of us with great gifts and talents who are not successful have chosen to live that way. For example, there are some situations in which, perhaps, some gifted people might choose not to be successful, for instance, a young person with a unique skill or talents who chooses to do other things for a living rather than pursuing a career that will develop their skill or talents for them to be a sought after.
Most of us struggling to make it need only decide to be successful, free ourselves from the rat race
to enjoy the same level of success just as those who have achieved success, do experience in their lives. Personally, I do not believe that there are societal structures in place that make it nearly impossible for anyone to ascertain success.
Introduction
esearch has proven 95% of natural talent cases (that is, gifts and unique abilities) do not decide the greatness or success
of a person. So the question is; what does it take to become great and successful?
To this John replied, "A person can receive only
what is given them from heaven. John 3: 27
First, I will attribute all greatness and successes to God and to His grace. He is the Alpha and Omega of all good and perfect gifts.
Every good thing is given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or
shifting shadow.
James 1:17
For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
1 Corinthians 4:7
Secondly, It is the deliberate effort and time by the individual continually invested or spent on developing his or her gifts and talents. Every successful individual will tell you that natural talent or gift does not ensure success. True success requires significant time training and. They would also make you know that just showing up any time is not enough to secure success, you need to continually challenge yourself with the right effort.
Thirdly, one needs to adopt what I call the art of Deliberate Practice
. It demands goal setting, regular feedback, and many more practices to improve skills with an eye on mastery. It is not just showing up
and, plain and simple, it’s not fun. What are the key elements?
• One must have a burning desire for success and greatness.
• He or she must show dedication to his or her dreams and vision.
• One must show strong willpower of determination to achieve success.
• One must stay disciplined like an army general or an Olympic athlete whose goal is to win the gold medal.
• He or she must demonstrate diligence or hard work
